Carex Commode Liner Bags with Absorbent Powder, Disposable and Leakproof, 7 Count

I am a fulltime unpaid caregiver for my 93 y/o mom. She is wheelchair bound and cannot use the bathroom on her own. During the day I assist her in using the commode in her bedroom. These commode liners make cleanup a lot easier rather than having to clean and bleach the commode bucket after each use.

I have used several different brands of commode liners and this one by Carex is definitely the best one that I have tried. Very easy to use, very absorbant, easy disposal and practically no odor. This to me is a good value compared to the prices of the others I have tried and was not so happy with.

We got 2 boxes, which was perfect for our use. We would recommend to everyone and we will buy more!!

Used twice in one night. No odors to me or dog. A little hospital smell from bag. Teardrop trailer with small trash can and knotted. I'm buying more. Better than Outhouses! Yuk! Private and no smell !

Can do multiple uses per bag, but be careful not to get too full. Does leak every once in awhile. I think has small pin hole in the bags. Needs to be a little thicker material then maybe wont leak.

Handle style does not allow tight tie off. If bag tips over in refuse container, bag will leak. Some bags leak from bottom. Loose absorbent powder billows up into the air and up my nose. It seems to absorb moisture in my nose and clog and mildly burn. Reasonably priced.

At an average of ~$1per bag, the average person would use far more than one liner a day @ one liner for only 2-3 urinations. The product is as stated and the liner bag is high quality plastic which eliminates leakage concerns, but the better option would be more of the powder in each bag. This or purchasing the powder that turns to gel alone are not options I can find.

I bought this product for my mother to use in her commode. From the description I assumed this was a bag liner with absorbent powder, but I wrongly assumed the powder was contained in a pad that would absorb oder as well as liquid. This is JUST A BLUE BAG WITH LOOSE POWDER, that is dusty, only suitable for urine. I would not recommend this to anyone who uses a commode because they can not get to the toilet, since last time I checked people do not just urinate, so there is little use for an obsorbent product with no pad to help enclose the contents. As for oder control not sure how well that works.
