The best way to buy coffee is to go to your local coffee shop and get some fresh roasted whole bean coffee. When you are ready to drink some, grind what you need fresh and brew. But let’s face it, not everyone is near a local coffee shop. The next best thing is to buy your coffee whole bean. In this case, however, the Caribou coffee medium roast I received is already ground. So how good is it? Actually, it tasted pretty good. I also reviewed their dark roast which I also felt was quite good. I would definitely recommend this coffee. In fact, I’d like to try some of their other coffee blends. They have a nice web site where you can order online if you wish. Caribou coffee is a sustainable coffee. They teamed up with the Rainforest Alliance certification program which makes sure farmers are fairly compensated, and the environment is protected. Each bag is guaranteed fresh or they will replace it according to what’s written on the bag.
Highest accolades to Caribou Blend Medium Roast! This coffee is extremely smooth, rich, and full-bodied, but not heavy or brash. I brew 1 TBSP for each 6 oz. cup. It is a blend from a rich, hearty, woodsy, Indonesian bean with spicy fruit tones from Central and South America. It is incredibly smooth and lusciously rolls over your tongue. They certainly know how to grow their coffee beans down there and blend them perfectly! The Caribou Coffee website describes this blend as follows: " Caribou Blend is an inspired merging of sweet, spicy and berry notes for a smooth, relaxing, down-to-earth cup. A cup of Caribou Blend is perfect for any time of the day!" "Roastmaster's Notes: Smooth, medium roast Balanced sweet, spicy, and berry notes Rich, syrupy body Bittersweet cocoa and cedar finish Rainforest Alliance Certified " Other Caribou Coffee blends I have tried seemed too strong, acidic and bitter but NOT this one! It is fantastic! If you are a Starbuck's fan, try this coffee, you will never go back! It is slightly more expensive when compared to the Jamaican specialty blend, ( a different brand), I order, but it is worth every cent! I look forward to serving this to family and friends!
We love Caribou coffee, but we have to wait until we go on vacation to go to a Caribou store, as we don't have them here in Washington state. It's one of my favorite things about Minnesota-haha. We do find the bags and pods at the grocery store, but it's kind of hit and miss. It was great to get it sent to us from Keurig. The taste and the smell are just right, and no icky aftertaste. It's such a rich, smooth taste that I always recommend to family and friends.
First time trying Caribou Coffee. This coffee is so smooth and the aroma is amazing 😍🥰☕️
Very smooth and tastey coffee. I have been buying it for years. It's a great size and I get plenty of servings out of it. The bag has a user friendliness to it and it's easy to just leave on the counter. I love having a coffee of this in the morning and then all morning long. it's my pick me up. I know a friend who throws this and ice cubes and some clear chocolate flavoring and makes an iced mocha in a pitcher.
My husband & I typically brew a pot of coffee each morning for breakfast, and what we normally drink is made from cheap house-brand ground coffee (such as Walmart's own Great Value line) or whatever's on sale. We ignored the directions on the Caribou Coffee bag, and prepared a pot using exactly the same proportions as we would for our normal coffee. Although this "Daybreak Morning Blend" is labelled as light roast, it was slightly stronger than our usual coffee. However, as we continued sipping the coffee, we were amazed at how smooth the flavor was. We have continued brewing a pot of this Caribou Coffee each morning since then, and have been even more pleasantly surprised at its continued consistent smoothness each day. Not a single "clunker" or bitter bit to be found yet, after having brewed our way through half the sack. There are no Caribou Coffee coffee shops near where we live -- but the makings of a premium coffee-shop cup of coffee are now as close as the nearest Walmart. For such consistently good coffee, it's worth paying a little extra to get this stuff!
The thing I don't like the most is the accessibility. Always has to be shipped to me using resources that for the most part can be recycled, but still takes a tree out of circulation! It's a lil pricey, but my grown girls like it above all others I've offered them at my house. Smoothness was %231 for them because they're both early morning coffee drinkers.
The price of coffee has spiraled out of control. So, we tried this because it is a little less expensive. Husband and I like it! We've bought this a couple of times and will buy again. It is smooth and you don't have to overdue the serving size to get a good pot of coffee.
Caribou is my go to, good coffee. The shame is Walmart needs to figure out how to rotate stock.
I bought 20oz LIGHT roast pack for only one reason: it says "light roast" on the package. But it turned out to be VERY DARK roast coffee with a very sour flavor of dark chocolate (supposed to be unflavored as well, and I absolutely don't like the taste %26 smell of dark chocolate). I'm very disappointed. Why to lie to people?
