Very good tasting corned beer. For under $.2.00 you can have enough for one or two Rueben sandwiches. I also make rollups for protein snacks. Lay out the two slices and spread your favorite creamed cheese and spices. Roll up and have them in a baggie for those meals you don't have other protein, take in the car, etc. It's so handy to just have a small amount of quality corned beef on hand.
Carl Buddig Corned Beef Lunchmeat may come in a 2oz pouch, but it packs a meaty punch of 9g protein and classic deli flavor that hits like a heavyweight. Thin-sliced, tender, and ready to roll, it's your go-to secret weapon for sandwiches, snacks, or straight-from-the-pack survival. Small in size, mighty in meat—this pouch proves legends come vacuum-sealed.
Build this sandwich. Jewish rye bread, the corn beef, yellow mustard, Swiss cheese. Eat it cold with kosher dill pickle and lettuce or as a hot pressed sandwich. A stack of chips and a couple of cookies and you have lunch. As the meat in an omelet for breakfast. It really makes a great lunch.
Tastes great I like to use it like a roll up put a small piece of cheese in it. Roll it up with like a cigarette and snack on it at night watching television no bread that way low carbs dip it and honey mustard or Dijon sometimes I use Sriracha sauce on it. It's delicious Little bit high in the fat content but all corned beef is really good flavor. Love to paper thin see-through slices.
I live alone so when I cook it's hard to cook for just myself. I got thinking about what to eat for lunch. The same thing...a cold egg salad sandwich "bummer".. or maybe peanut butter and jelly 🤔. Well I guess I could have a grilled cheese I said to my dog's. I have cheddar cheese. As I sat my down to eat that grilled cheese my dog's are dancing around begging the thought gee I wish this sandwich was more interesting. That's when a Ruben sandwich popped into my head. And I pushed the thought out of my head; after all I'm only 1 person. I wasn't making a cornedbeef brisket for myself. I have swisscheese and a can of sourkraut ;heck I even have rye bread ! BUT WHAT ABOUT THE CORNEDBEEF??? That's when Budding cornedbeef popped into my mind ! I placed Budding cornedbeef on my groceries order. And I was eating a Ruben sandwich for supper! Try Budding cornedbeef for yourself. P.S. DON'T FORGET THE 1000 ISLAND DRESSING (I use Great Value dressing) P.P.S. My dog's didn't get any of MY RUBEN SANDWICH !
I have used the beef flavor oh, my life, to make chipped beef on toast and on occasion, I will use this. The flavor is great. The value is great. I use this mostly in my eggs. As I like the kick a little bit better, then the beef version I was this. my only complaint if I had one. Is that resealing? These is non existent when you open it, you're using the whole pack, it's okay. There's your protein for the day l o.L
I absolutely love this lunch meat. If you love the taste of corn beef then this is your lunch item. The flavor tastes like real corn beef the texture is great no chunks of fat. It's just pure corn beef ! I recommend it on Franz wheat bread with mustard and a good slice of cheese of your choice, I like havarti. You will truly enjoy a good tasting sandwich . Don't hesitate to try it!
I use this for making Reuben sandwiches. I think the flavor is good and I really like the fact that the meat is sliced so thin. It's easy for me to use this where I can just open the package and put the slices directly onto my sandwiches with no additional work. Every time I've made home made corned beef or gotten it sliced at a deli I always have to trim a lot of fat off the slices as I'm making the sandwiches which is a major hassle for me. I also like how consistent each slice is in size, taste, and texture.
Buddig is not sliced meat. It is mechanically separated, and then pressed meat. This shows in the texture is less grainy (more smooth) than sliced corned beef at the deli. The 2-oz packet is right-sized for meal planning, like when making a sandwich. I'm on Weight Watchers, so pre-measured portions make it easier to track the points for the foods in a meal. The taste if good, but deli-sliced corned beef has a better tongue feel. Yet this tastes pretty good. 2 slices of bread, some Frank's sauerkraut, this meat, some fat-free Kraft thousand island dressing, and I've got a Reuben sandwich easily made.
Its good not great, I didmt expect much for the price. Its the perfect amount for one sandwich I had for lunch. The texture is more like turkey and not regular corned beef but it didnt ruin it. Some lunch meats are slimy this wasnt at all. If your are on a budget and want the corned beef flavor Id recommend this . But if you can afford to go to a deli you wouldnt like this.
