Drink this every morning. Haven't been able to take my vitamins and minerals for the past 2 months. So I started drinking this for the last of my vitamin intake. I whip it in the blender and sometimes add couple slices of banana. YUMMO. I only wish they could lower the carbs. Is very filling also with just the right about of protein .If they could do that I'd drink it twice a day .
I have been using Carnation instant breakfast for decades. I highly recommend keeping it in your house. It's great for when you're in a rush. It's also great for when you don't feel well and aren't up to eating. This way you get your nutrition, vitamins and some energy.
I sometimes use the carnation instant breakfast as a meal replacement if I'm not real hungry, but need to have something to eat. I have been drinking carnation instant breakfast for the past eight years since I was receiving chemo treatments. It was recommended by my doctor as a meal replacement since receiving chemotherapy, you sometimes don't feel like you want to eat, but you still need some kind of nourishment.
believe it or not I haven't had this in 40 years but because I'm going through chemo treatments and this has a lot of vitamins and proteins in it, I thought I'd give it a try again. it's just us delicious as it was back then. I'd like to get a mini blender and try it with some sliced bananas.
I use this every day but my local Walmart only had it in stock in the bottles which I don't like! Tried ordering it online from Walmart but they sent the wrong one! I needed the high protein one. So this Walmart had it in stock. So pleased to find it.
I absolutely love these but my favorite is Vanilla. DO NOT judge this product (or purchase) those “on the to go ones” in the plastic ready drinks. Those are so bad and taste nothing like if you make them yourself with the powder packets. I have lost most of my teeth due to being on chemo and this has saved my life. I rarely can eat anything and this helps me get so many good vitamins and minerals. It's really the only nutrients I get other than over the counter vitamins.
There's days where I have to force myself to eat a little something for breakfast, and these don't make it feel so forced. I remember my Mom getting these when I was younger and now I'm buying them for my teen. They're really good and I'm glad they're still a thing after all these years.
I have been on Ozempic for weight loss, and nobody told me that it would tank my protein and my hair would come out!! This product has 18 mg of protein, and in the long run will cost A LOT LESS than buying protein shakes, plus, it tastes like a vanilla milkshake! YUMMY!
I first started drinking this in the 1960s when it first came out. Can you believe it. I just started again because I'm going through chemo treatments and I don't really like the nutritional drinks like boost or equates version. C Carnation energy drink is the best! it's delicious and it gives me all the vitamins I need. sometimes I'll even drink two in a day.
The actual protein in the product is about 5g, not the 13g that is marked in bold letters on the front of the package. The 13g counts the protein in the milk that you are expected to mix this with. I am lactose intolerant but can sometimes have small amounts, and I am struggling with protein, so I took the chance on this mix to add protein. The problem? If you don't add it to the cow milk, you don't get the sweetener that is required for the flavor of the product, so it was just like drinking a cup of wet cement. It had no flavor and did not even mix well. I was still not upset, because at least I was getting 13g of protein -- except I wasn't. I was getting five, because I used oat milk, and they were giving themselves credit for milk that is not in the box. This is a lie made for people who struggle with budget and nutrition. You should not be able to include nutrition that is not in your product, just because you told the customer to mix it with something that would have the nutrients. This is like making a high protein meal and saying, "It's high protein if you add high protein meat to our meal!". It's fraud.
