Fabulous!!!!! Great quality?. Real wood?.. even better than I hoped

Solid piece of furniture when assembled. Easy to assemble. You only need a small hammer to set the wood plugs and a screwdriver to attach the storage top hinge. Looks good and feels sturdy to sit on.

Although we have only had this for a couple of days I think we will like it. Seems very sturdy and well made. This is not a comfortable bench to sit on. The back curves outward where it should curve in for back support. It curves in near the shoulders and you can feel that little bump in the trim. We plan to use it in an entryway to put our boots on and such so the comfort is not an issue. The seat doesn't seem to be cut perfectly square. Only off slightly. I like that the seat opens up for some mitten storage. My husband says it was easy to put together.

It is a lovely bench but I wish it was a couple of inches deeper.

Bench is attractive and fits perfectly in the space I wanted to use it; entryway. Left the hinge off the lid/bottom panel for storage area rather thin so would be careful what you store. I am going to use the storage area for gloves and hats. I would recommend the bench to anyone needing such an item but warn them, assembling is not fun.

I read numerous reviews of this item from other consumers, that being said I took a chance and ordered it. It arrived in before the stated delivery date. While it is attractive, the amount of time it took for assembly was beyond acceptability. My husband is a QA Engineer, and from the onset he knew there would be issues. 1) difficult assembly, alignment off, 2) wood glue provided was hard, we had to purchase the glue in order to assemble the bench, 3) the wood plugs are smaller than the openings and keep falling out, if we glue than there is no way to make any adjustments or to dismantle if necessary, 4) cannot open or close the seat without it rubbing/dragging on the both left and right armrest frames. We'll have to sand and repaint in order to have smooth open and close capability, 4) multiple areas of red paint (attempt to make bench look older/distressed?).

Actual item was not cheap but the overall product is cheap. The actual online photo and what you get when the item arrives is somewhat of a shock.
