Carolina Immersion Oil, Laboratory Grade, 15-Ml Dropping Bottle

As a student in the life sciences, I have a very narrow budget to work with to enhance my studies. Being able to become experienced with oil immersion has given me a huge leap ahead in my class. The clarity and ease of clean up make this a product well worth purchasing, either as a student or a professional.

This product has good optical qualities. It is very easy for students to use. Easy cleanup. Highly recommended.

This works like you need it to and is easy for student clean-up. I also appreciate that the bottle doesn't leak when capped, even when tipped over in storage.

We've been using these in our college microbiology labs for a couple of years now, and the bottles are easy to refill and a good size for individual students to have their own microscope kit. Unfortunately, the caps do tend to get lost. It'd be nice if Carolina sold replacements, but I did find a source for them - US Plastics, part# 69415 - regular tips for Yorker spout caps. One bulk order later, and I've got enough caps to last for several years of losses.

The students have no problems using this product. The only issue I have with it is that the cap occasionally gets lost or gets "accidentally" thrown away. It would be a lot better if the cap was a screw on cap. However, for the cost - it is definitely worth it.
