Caron Medium Acrylic Off-White Yarn, 240 yd

In this case the "tweed" effect is created by interweaving little bits of ivory and black here and there throughout the base yarn which is brown but doesnt have the characteristic Caron SS shine. You'll get a tweed-like effect but its just the color name remember. Otherwise standard Caron SS yarn.

Initially, I liked this yarn when I first started using it. I have made 6 afghans with it, and over time I have become disillusioned with it. It feels different in my hands when working with it over the past couple of years. It feels stiff and not soft anymore. I find the it splits easily which slows my project down. I also am disappointed in the consistency in its denseness. The strand will feel OK but then it will go to feeling very thin or to feeling very thick. One of my purchases was the "Ombre" and I must say this version of Simply Soft is much more pleasant to work with. I am disappointed though, in the smaller weight skeins in the ombre and darker colors, and the price of the yarn has actually become unaffordable for me. I also have had an issue with one batch of the Simply Soft with every skein having tied knots within, and sometimes more than one. I need to find a better quality truly soft yarn at a better price.

I love Caron Simply Soft Yarn. I use to stalk up on it when it was on sale. I was bummed when I couldn't buy it anymore. Then I found you all. So I'm buying some to do blankets and get my stock down. It's great yarn.

Dealing with Mary Maxim for Canon, simply soft yarn has been an excellent experience. The price of each scan of yarn was reasonable. The multicolored yarns that I ordered are excellent for chemo caps that I crochet for John Peter Smith Hospital's volunteer division.

I have made several crocheted projects using Caron Simply Soft yarn. I love the feel for myself when I am crocheting. I make items for our church which donates them to hospital cancer patients, shut-ins and other fellow church members. The skeins are small yardage but I plan ahead when I am making a purchase.

I have many reasons making simply soft a favorite yarn. The color choices are amazing. Making it easy to find and coordinate colors to reuse a favorite pattern. I've used simply soft for many things. I'm making a baby blanket and found so many shades of blue, trying to pick only 3 was challenging. It's wonderful yarn!

I have had problems with many knots tied within the skein to make short pieces of yarn look like long pieces of yarn. This is NOT something that is acceptable. I ordered this yarn as extra to a kit I got from you because I figured that there was not enough yarn in the kit. What a disappointment!

I had been holding off on buying this until I found just the right project. I am making a Aurora Borealis inspired blanket. The colors I selected are vivid and the yarn is very soft. It's going to make a gorgeous blanket. I've only just started it and have found it to be very easy to work with.

I love the colors in this yarn, and the feel of it. This yarn is great for baby blankets as well, because of how soft it is. Will be getting more in the future.

I absolutely love Caron soft yarn. This vintage speckle is one of my favorite yarns. I am finally making myself a blanket. Hopefully I will get it done by October.
