Great little magnifier that you don't have to hold
I bought this magnifier for my elderly mother who has trouble reading and also has trouble holding a magnifying glass steady. With this magnifier, she can just set it right on the paper and it will stay the correct distance from what she is trying to read. The clarity is good. The size is okay. It would be better for her if it was just a little larger. But I'm sure it's a great size for looking at bugs! It's nice that you could keep the bug inside while looking at it, then take the magnifier off and let the bug crawl away. It would be great for kids wanting to look at bugs and other small items as well as learning to use a magnifying glass. It's well built and should hold up well for kids to have fun exploring the tiny things around them!

Works great for jewelry
I purchased this to help see tiny writing on jewelry %26 it works quite well. A traditional loupe is difficult to use with some rings %26 this shows the print clearly. Good value.
