It was exactly what I wanted.

My Doctor was correct when he said if I wanted to return to mountain hikes after a torn tendon in my knee. I got 2 carbon fiber poles and a copper infused knee wrap like he recommended and went hiking in the foot hills. My knee did not hurt after 3 miles and both my shoulders were sore from the work out not to mention that one of the poles saved me from an unexpected fall.

My P.T. Advised that I buy these, due to my balance problems. I am almost 78 years old and find that I can move around in a more confident way. For the most part , I use one pole in my daily life; but if I am on uneven ground of any sort, I use both poles. I am very happy with the results of this move to a more stable way of getting around. I would suggest this to anyone with balance issues. Canes and other devices do not allow for standing/walking in “perfect posture.”

I was referred to try these off a You Tube video, "PCT section hiker gear review." Ordered a set for the wife and myself. Gave them a training test on a 3K' ft gain hike/scramble over about 5 miles. We are both avid runners so switching between running with the poles and using them as an aide was essential. We were both very happy with them thus far. They felt a tad flimsy when full extended at 130mm but when there's a huge ascent we are using the poles around 115-120mm which makes them feel super sturdy. Happy with the ease at which the poles can switch between carbide tips and soft tips.

These poles are amazing value. I've used them for all-day 20+ mile runs and hikes. They are light enough for me to hold them in my hand for long periods when running long descents. I've used them moderately hard for rocky climbs and jammed them in cracks by accident without issue so far. I plan to use these for backpacking trips out in the Sierras this summer, and ultramarathons after. I have poles that cost several times more and are not meaningfully lighter, but I keep reaching for these Cascade Mountain Tech Ultralight poles.

Purchased before I hot the AT south bound in July. Snapped the lower end within the first week of now 650 miles. Repaired it because I cant seem tobget a lower piece as theyvare out of stock. I absolutely love the poles and my repair is still working unless I apply too much down force. It s apped / sheared off when it bound between two rocks. I relased ot as soon as it bound up but had the strap on so the slight pull snapped it. Took the straps off to avoid this. I would not change poles sumply due to the weight, however keep in mind they can easily snap. Please get some lower pieces in stock so Ican replace it or just send me a new one.

I have yet to try outdoors since the lock is not secure enough and I have yet to reach out to let them know one of the included items did not get packed.

The strap on the handle broke day one. The locking mechanism broke Day three!
