Cascara Sagrada 450 mg By Solaray - 100 Capsules

For years I've had Swiss Kriss on stand-by for occasional sluggishness. I wanted to order more but iHerb doesn't stock it. Solaray Cascara Sagrada was suggested as an alternative and I gave it a try. I'm happy to report that it does was it's supposed to do without nasty side effects.

I take it occasionally when I suffer from constipation. I have a bowel movement the next day, so it definitely works. I also sometimes take chia seeds, apple pectin, acacia, castor oil, yellow dock, psyllium seed, aloe vera... it all helps me if i'm constipated.

I've been plagued by digestive issues for several years. Things have gotten particularly worse the past few years. I've been lucky if I have even one partial elimination a week. I say lucky because sometimes I can go several weeks without any elimination. Nothing over the counter has worked, laxatives, suppositories, senna, etc. My doctor is puzzled and I've been put through every test, even a colonoscopy. Nothing. I read about Cascara Sagrada on a blog and thought I would give it a try. From the first dose (2 capsules at nighttime), I've been regular -daily. This works for me, so I'm not straying from it. It's been three weeks and all is finally well with me. A few times, I've had mild cramping the following afternoon. It's very good quality mild, and occurs just prior to a bowel movement. If I take this supplement at bedtime, I have a bowel movement the following afternoon.It have good ingredient.

I took it only twice since I went through a liver cleanse Haven't used it since but when I did use it, it worked like it was supposed to. I save it for future days I might need it or give it to people who have constipation. It's suitable for people who need an urgent bowl movement, though the effects are noticeable only a day afterwards. It's not recommended to use it regulariliy.

bought this for my husband, benefits and use it for occasional constipation relief and peristalsis. it cleans the bowel fast. very strong herb and contains magnesium stearate so use it as directed at night. good constipation discomfort and for a bowl cleanse. it works fast and is very convenient to use. don't exceed the dose you can cause harm.

Cascara for constipation acts very delicately, it does not work immediately, it takes 8-10 hours, it depends on the body, by the way, one capsule is not enough for me, I take two before bed, in the morning it has a very mild effect without spasms, it saves me a lot with my difficulties with the gastrointestinal tract after three genera. Trying this for the very first time to help with constipation. I chose this one because Solaray states the cascara has been aged for at least a year, which is extremely important if you want to take cascara sagrada. It has magnesium stearate unfortunately but no other fillers. Start with just one capsule and take with plenty of water. Wait 24 hours to see results before increasing dosage.

I have these on hand in case a member of my family needs it. I don't think it's a good idea to take everyday, but on the occasion when it's necessary, and not if you have a history of colitis or other bowel inflammation. Daily use for long periods of time have been shown to cause melanosis coli.

These are my go to supplement to aid when ever I become sluggish. I generally take two without even the slightest of discomfort or any v adverse effects. It is well tolerated by my body. Quality and reliable product to help you get things moving along without any cramping.

It's a shame about the magnesium stearate but otherwise a great product. Although it's a stimulant laxative and can cause issues using it everyday long term, I find it much better than using magnesium for a laxative which you may not get much warning with. I have used Cascara on and off for a number of years and always have some handy.
