Cashel Quiet Ride Fly Mask Long Ears Horse

I like all the Cashel fly masks a lot. I launder the masks weekly and they hold up remarkably well to both horse abuse and my freak obsession with cleanliness. The regular horse size fits a normal to large warmblood horse down to a fairly petite TB. This quiet ride one is great. It's very light weight and helps tremendously with the annoying headshaking from flys and gnats - that's just no fun for anyone.

I borrowed a friends to try on my horse as I wasn't sure whether to get the nose piece or not, but it worked very well and didn't annoy him at all. In fact, less nose rubbing. A nice buy for this trail rider!

I bought 2 for my Boys to wear in the pasture. They're lasting really well and it's easy for them to see through the fine mesh. I also had them personalized. They are the envy of the other boarders and horses.

I bought this last summer and don't know how I ever did without. My horse is very sensitive to bugs and constantly shakes her head without a fly mask. As soon as I put this on during our rides, she's calm and happy. No more shaking and she seems to even more quiet! The mask in light weight, fits over her bridle. This helps protect her nose from sunburn and shield her eyes from the bright sun. Don't sleep on this!

I really like the Crusader Fly Mask-quiet ride. It does for my horse and me exactly what it says. Quiet ride. My horse is definitely more quiet, which makes for a great ride, She would look around a lot and get excited a lot. I have noticed with the Quiet Ride mask she is less concerned about what goes on around her. I recommend the Quiet Ride mask for anyone wanting a quiet ride.

My horse HATES things flying in his face. He even gets dramatic when wind blows in his face. Sooo, I figured with a move to Florida, he could use this to help focus when we ride. It fit easily over his bridle and he accepted and appreciated it like he does his fly mask. As for durability, I have no idea since I just got it, but I am giving it the benefit of the doubt! He always fits in the "horse" size everything, and this is no exception.

My horse is extremely sensitive to both real and imaginary bugs. Riding him in the spring and summer wasn't enjoyable as he was clearly so unhappy. His regular fly mask was too thick and awkward for riding Once I started using the Crusader Quiet Ride mask, he was calm and relaxed. It has made a huge difference in his behavior. No more heading shaking and being bothered by the pesky bugs!

I actually bought this for a turnout fly mask (not to wear over a bridle). A few caveats to keep in mind: I have a large thoroughbred with an unrefined head. (His bridles generally waffle between being tight at a full but having a little too much room in a WB.) This fits him - barely. It doesn't cover his cheek/jowl area especially well. It's just long enough for his head. If you have a large headed horse (draft, WB) you may want to see if there's a size other than "full" because this might not fit. Likewise, if you have a smaller horse or a horse with a more refined head, it may not be great. That said: I like this product. It's durable (has held up to 10 hour turnout with 3 other playful horses) and has stayed put. Definitely keeps the gnats away and bugs stay out of his ears.

These fly masks are great for riding in a buggy arena or on a buggy trail! The mesh is small enough that even gnats can't get through! And it is soft and comfortable for the horse. Because of its softness, it is not a mask you can turn your horse out in, and you have to make sure it doesn't touch your horse's eyes since it has nothing to make it firm. Also not great in the rain. Overall great mask for fuss-free riding!

SInce my last purchase of a crusader quiet ride mask, the company has changed the material and fit - FOR THE WORSE-. The material is very stiff - so stiff that I coiuld not get the folds out sufficiently to lie on my horse's head and the sizing is way off - the horse size that I bought (the same size I have bought for my horse many times before) was way too big around the face. Bring back the old design and fabric for the quiet ride mask!!!!!
