Casio FX-115ES, Scientific Calculator, 10 Digits + 2 Exponents, Solar Panel, Battery

Has a lot of "cheat" button: derivatives, solution, log, fraction, percent, root. Got me through pre-calculus, physics, chemistry, and statistics. Converts fractions to decimal and vice versa with one button. Has so many more functions that I haven't used yet such as matrix. Easy to use, takes little time to get used to. Far superior than Texas instrument. Lost mine after 5 years, so I replaced it because I needed it for chemistry in college. It's light-weight and robust. I dropped my first one multiple times and it still worked like new. Just can't graph, but of course its not suppose to. I recommend this product to anyone who needs a calculator!

This is the best calc I have tried for algebra based physics class. I prev had a TI 30XII and it worked well for algebra classes, but could not do nearly as many calculations as this Casio can handle. Now I can spend my time figuring out how to solve physics problems and let the calc handle the math equations. My instructor recommended the Casio FX-115ES specifically, and though not required, it blows away my old TI calc.

Excellent calculator for the money. Has more functions than I will ever use; but, it is fun to experiment.

I have a Casio scientific calculator I purchased for college and it has served me well for more than 25 years. This one is a little too busy for average mathematical use.

I used this calc for Algebra, and it did the job good. I had some lag on finding X values that took at least 45 seconds to come up with answer. When I went on to statistics, I was less than impressed. While it allowed me to do some great things like correlation coeffecients s2 (sigma)2 etc., it gave me blatantly wrong answers on some longer ones. Such as calculating " r=" I would enter my XY variables in excel and have the CORRELL sum in use, and it would give me a response like .993 But the calc with the same enteries would give .901 Then if I did it again without changing the XY it would say .902 It just seems that it doesnt have the power of quality hardware to retain the amounts of numbers I am in need of. While it is okay, it's not for those in upper division college classes.
