Had been looking forward to reviewing this fx-9750GIII particularly when I saw that it had python built in. I'm a CPA working in financial systems and enjoy programming so have been able to evaluate many features of this calculator. I've been using the calculator daily for graphing, programming in python, Casio Basic, finance functions, and messing around with so many of the other features to even just sketching up images. Casio fx-6300G got me through college and have been using it for the since the 90's for graphing and statistics, particularly enjoying being able to write programs on the calculator which helped customize the calculator for whatever class I was taking while helping to reinforce the concepts. Considering that the 6300g has been with me for probably 25+ years, Casio builds some reliable calculators. This new Casio fx-9750GIII takes it to a new level with its python integration while also supporting its own programming language which still uses much of the same syntax as my old calculator, making it easy to translate and transition from an older model. It also allows you to save and load programs and transfer them using USB... easy loading your own or programs from the web and no more losing your programs when the batteries go! Its graphing capability is nice with a very clear LCD display which is crisp and easy on the eyes. This calculator would be perfect for a student, professional, or just some programming fun and games. While I'll always have an affinity for my original Casio fx, this new version has gotten so much better and well worth the value.
I ordered the Casio graphing calculator (fx-9750GIII) for my son who is starting Algebra 1. I was happy to see that it came with 4 name brand AAA batteries! This graphing calculator is a newer generation of the 9750 series and has a nice geometric pattern etched into it around reset button which feels nice in your hand. The overall measurements are about 3"x7" with the case on. It comes with a quick-start guide which helped us get started, and then my son took off using it with no problem! There is a learning curve that is required for getting started, mainly changing modes, but our 10 year old son who is talented in math didn't have any trouble learning how to use it on his own after a short while. He is eager to learn all of the things it can do. I also appreciate that is has an auto power off. It has ports to connect two calculators together or the calculator to a computer. I would recommend this calculator from middle school throughout college. It has modes for the different types of math, by choosing "menu" then 1 is basic math (regular calculator) and so on. Complete product manuals (hardware and software) can be found on Casio's website. Made in Thailand
The Casio FX-9750G111 Graphing Calculator is ideal for students attending middle school, high school, and even college. This calculator is recommended for students taking Pre-Algebra, Algebra l & ll, Geometry, Trigonometry, AP Calculus, AP Statistics, Biology, Physics, and Business & Finance. It's so advanced that it supports educators and businesses of all kinds as well. In other words, you're never too old to stop using the Casio FX-9750G111 Graphing Calculator. Now that's what I love about it! It comes with a hard slide on protective case so the buttons are not pressed accidentally. This calculator has Python Programming language used in development of internet search engines and social media sites. I think that is really impressive! Also, it's icon-based menu is easy to navigate and the soft-menus make it easy to access functionality for common tasks. Another thing I love about the Casio FX-9750G111 Graphing Calculator is that the software is designed to help students grasp mathematical concepts by encouraging student engagement with mathematics, rather than memorization of keys effectively promote student success. I would recommend The Casio FX-9750G111 Graphing Calculator to anyone in school or in a business dealing with finances.
Bought for my son who is taking AP Calculus, AP Physics. This is a very powerful, yet easy to use graphing calculator. Can handle any high school or college level math, and is also programmable.
Great calculator for a great price! I updated the firmware and was able to start importing my Python scripts right away. It does require a micro USB cord as it doesn't come with one. Overall, the buttons are nice and the screen is clear, though it requires ambient light to be seen clearly (no issue at work or in class). I love the Python compatibility, that's what sold me!
This is an easy to use graphing calculator. The screen size makes things easy to read . Perfect for my senior child taking AP classes because it's capable of plotting graphs, solving simultaneous equations, and performing other tasks with variable. Gets the job done.
Casio fx-9750GIII Black Graphing Calculator is an ideal for pre-algebra, algebra I & II, geometry, trigonometry, AP calculus, AP statistics, biology, physics, business and finance applications. However, if you get to a college-level you should need a calculator with stronger computing and graphing capabilities. The calculator comes with a high-resolution LCD display so the screen is nice to look at. The description says it comes with spreadsheet functionality, USB option to connect and share files, create quick pie charts and bar graphs, ap stats features, etc. The screen allows you to fit 24 characters per line. The calculator comes with a tutorial. You can also visit the website to view the video tutorial and much more on how to use the calculator. The calculator is powered by 4 AAA batteries that are included. The batteries should last 200 hours, so it will last much longer. Overall, it is a great calculator to have for a high school student.
It is a cheaper version of the Casio FX-CG50. Very capable and useful. I recommend it over any TI version. However, it is white-black, so if you just have the extra money, buy the FX-CG50.
I tried using the Casio Graphing Calculator and after trying for some time I would say it is not for me. I guess I am too accustom to using TI products. This Casio had me confused. This item requires batteries. I will say that I do like the display. Very clear. I think that it is something that will require more practice for me to get the hang of it. It's lightweight and comes with cover to keep the buttons safe.
The calculator seems fine and does what I need it to do. Not happy with the way the package arrived as it is evident it was previously opened and resealed with tape and staples. Whoever sent this should be embarrassed. Normally I would have sent this right back but I need it and have to hope for the best hoping it doesn't fail. Listing should mention they may send an open item but it is listed as brand new. Very sad.
