Great quality, Love it,
It's good for doing homebrew programs with the fxsdk...I ran a clock program I wrote on it and it ran for more than 3 hours straight and the battery indicator didn't even budge from full, so the battery life is good. What with Android dying and no good handheld game consoles to buy these days, it's a good value to get your feet wet with embedded system programming. It doesn't have a sound output, but I ran the Rockbox Amiga Module player and got it to display the 4 channels on the screen as an oscilloscope in full speed....
I love my Casio Prizm! As a teacher I want a calculator that makes students think about math in new ways. I want a calculator that reinforces my lessons and looks like the math printed in a textbook. I want a calculator that makes it easy to see relationships and is intuitive to use, a tool that will grow students for years to come without having to relearn hidden menus. The students with the Casio Prizm are ahead of other students who do not have them. The calculator is really fast at graphing equations and the screen size is not compromised. The font on the calculator is large and easy to read without sacrificing the Natural Display, so everything looks the way I would expect it. The calculators' menus are all organized into folders and easy to find without needing special syntax. My favorite part is the power of the graphing feature. The equations graph very quickly, even for the most complicated equations. I can find points of interest with a single button push, even with multiple solutions. My students who have a Casio Prizm can mark points on the screen and are ahead of their peers, ready to investigate further and not having to wait for a slow graph or multiple button presses to find a point of interest. It has saved me valuable time to focus on understanding. My students benefit from it every day.
Powerful graphing calculator, but with a steep learning curve. Software Manual is a whopping 670 pages, but it will be worth reading every word. This calculator does everything, and is definitely a useful and handy tool for students, scientists or engineers. I'm using it daily, because of the entry ease compared to RPN calculators. The price was a bit high, on par with the calculator's usefulness though. Highly recommended if you need a beast calculator!
This is the second Casio FX-CG50 Graphing Calculator I have purchased for my son who is taking AP courses in HS. He loves it and makes completing homework easy and is compliant with all testing that he has to take for the courses.
School is forcing g to purchase this in first 2 weeks of school. Hiped prices by seller. Some weird conspiracy to push sale by high school to 3000 students. No discussion no alternative and first test before 3rd week of school started. Seller send the product early as requested so thanks.
It is a solid, programmable, scientific/graphing calculator that is well worth the money.
Way better than the texas
Excellent calculator
I am a high school student and this calculator is great for the PSATs/SATs/ACTs, and it is on College Board's list of allowed calculators. I'm sure it'll be good for college too. Slightly cheaper alternative to a TI-84 or something like that, but it's a LOT better in my opinion, because it has a color display, (so does the TI-84 Plus CE, but its way more expensive) and lots of different programs/functions built in, like spreadsheets, 3D graphs, tables and charts, Simple/compound interest
