Watch is as listed. compass with twin sensor. great LED lighting. Very accurate sensors for both temp and compass. The fact that you can caller berate the compass is a plus. Compass is very accurate. Temp you have to take the watch off for 5 min or so to get a accurate outside temp reading. Just like all Casio watches this is durable and water proof. On another note, this is there phase out period for the twin sensor compass. This will most likely be the last model they sell with twin sensor compass/temp before you will need to have a phone with you when hiking if you want to utilize a watch with a compass and not have to have your watch connected to you phone via Bluetooth. For hiking and wildlife exploration this watch is a major 1 in my inventory when hiking and exploring. For the price on sale for $56, thats a STEAL!
I've looked at ten different watches with the specifications this watch comes with and most of them were in the 100 dollar range. Walmart is the lowest price you will find on this watch. In my opinion; as far as quality, the compass on this watch is better than the timex expedition. The temperature guage is not acurate unless you take the watch off, since it registers your body heat. The back lighting is outstanding on this watch and the construction is very durable. Haven't worn it long enough to see how the band holds up, although it seems pretty durable itself. This is a good attractive and durable watch for a great price.
This watch is a great value and has many features. I could live without the world clock time zone feature. Also, the Temp feature only works when you take the watch off. Otherwise, it confuses your body temperature with the room temperature.
I hoped this would display a traditional compass rose continuously- it has one on the bezel but you only get an arrow pointing North and a traditional NNW type bearing and a numerical bearing in degrees when you press the COMP button. The display only persists for only a few seconds so you have to press the COMP button to refresh. Calibration is not difficult but requires studying the instructions for a few minutes.
I bought this watch because of intrigue with the compass and temperature functions. The larger digits are a plus too. Instruction book does not give clear directions for calibrating compass or temperature. Tech support was very helpful and easy to reach. I did have to calibrate the watch functions several times before they worked correctly. Don't pay attention to the direction pointer (it always points North) actual direction being faced is on the watch display. I would recommend this watch for everyday wear or for outdoor activities.
Easy to program directions. Compass is accurate when calibrated properly. Temperature accuracy for ambient must be taken with watch off wrist for at least 15 minutes prior to reading. Other features, i.e., alarms, stopwatch and world time work well. Digital display is easy to read and has an illumination feature. Band is moderately comfortable and does the job. I plan to use this watch during daily runs, hikes and backpacking trips. Good practical use watch priced at < $50.
works great as a compass but Temp is not as good as I like. It reacts slow on the Temp. Takes 20 to 30 minutes to get a true reading and you need to take it off your wrist.
The watch is good & solid. It work fine for a basic watch. The compass is OK but you can view it for 10 second at a time, otherwise you have to press the botton again to see the compus for another 10 second. The temperature is wrong it is for your arm temperature not the the room temperature, Unless you take the watch off and lay it on a surface you won't know the room temp.
The display takes a little getting used to because it is darker than all other watches I've owned but it is a great watch for the price.
Nothing matches with World class Casio watches. It's too much costly and overrated. The subtle design ergonomics of Casio watches is completely missing there. Why there are too many colours and its small dial size made a deal breaker for me finally. Sorry, Walmart, I returned it back.
