Casio Men's Classic W-S220-1AV Watch

Great watch. Gifted one to my son and one to a friend. They love it. I really like how Walmart used FedEx to deliver the items purchased online. I got the watches 3 days early thanks to FedEx.

It rechargeable in sunlight. lasts a lifetime.

Got this watch for my 12-year-old son. He had gone through two Garmin watches that both failed due to water sneaking in after battery replacement. Wanted a decent brand solar watch he could use while swimming and this fit the bill. While it does not have any fitness tracking, it did have all of the other features he wanted (solar, multiple alarms, countdown timer, light for seeing display at night, and stop watch). The watch seems very sturdy and should provide many years of use given my previous experience with Casio watches. The only drawback I've seen so far is that due to the watch band shape and my son's narrow wrist, the strap retention band doesn't go up the band as far as I'd like. He has roughly an inch of band flopping around. Due to the watch shape, it seems like it would be difficult to put a different band on. I might try to get a slightly wider retention strap to put on it.

Took a while to get it set-up. One I set it up, it has been great.

Have only had the watch for several weeks. So far, so good. I appreciate that it is solar powered so that as long as I expose it to sunlight often enough it will continue to operate. It took a bit of effort to get it set up. Mostly my fault because I failed to make sure it was in the proper time zone before I started to set the time, date, etc. Once I figured that out the rest was OK. Probably has more functions than I will ever use. I need to figure out how to use the lap timing function and then it will have even more value to me. The last Casio watch that I had failed because the wristband broke. I hope that this band will last a bit longer.

Good watch just got it yesterday 8/3/2013. The manual that comes with this watch is a little long and there is a lot of setting to do but once you get everything set it's pretty cool. It's solar power hasn't been sunny out here to fully charge it. So have it charging under a light in my place.

Casio seems to have difficulty using consistent model names or numbers for this watch. My watch seems to have at least the three different model names or numbers listed above, so good luck trying to find information in a hurry. The solar power function of my model worked very well -- always on in a few seconds. Sadly, the strap pins broke away from the plastic housing body after only about 14 months of use.

directions were convoluted and contained internal inconsistencies [i.e., 'see page XX for this...' and no such info. found there. functionality was weak - returned this watch and went back to the timex ironman.
