This fire pit is just perfect, it's large enough to fill up and just sit back and relax.
love it
Out side of Sportsman's guide providing the BEST price I could find they also have FAST shipping. As for the pit itself, it came well boxed and the instructions were reasonably easy to follow. It took me about 1.5 hours to complete the assembly and immediately lit a fire in the thing and boy was I pleased. The foots rests on the sides are very nice and keep you from accidently melting you tennis shoes and or burning your feet. The surrounding shelf is nice to use for setting drinks or cooking items upon. We've only had it a week but have already had 3 fires in it and even used it to cook burgers and it again exceeded expectations for easy of use as well as result. We'll give it a bit more time to see how it holds up and may even buy another to put our by our pool but so far so good. We even bought a cover for it so it should last a while. If you've made it this far you probably just need to go ahead and click on putting it in your cart and proceed to checkout. Cheers M8!!
I got this because I saw the utility of it. Pull up some chairs and rest your feet on the lower rail with a few friends and enjoy a couple cold ones around a fire. Or use the grill to cook a little back yard fare. Set the grill low and use charcoal, or raise it up a bit and cook over a hot wood fire. I gave it 4 stars because the fit in assembling was a bit off. I got it together all right, but some of the seams show a bulge.
The box was damaged like it was rolled instead of being carried, the pit itself was damaged on the screen has a section cut, assembly was interesting since most holes didn't line up. I didn't return it since it would have been a hassle.
This is only a fair Fire Pit. The metal is extremely thin. Don't expect it to last years as it will rust through quickly. Assembly not too difficult, takes about an hour. Make sure you have spare bolts/screws somewhere as the heads strip out very easily due to inferior metal. This is a problem as the predrilled holes do not all line up so one must torque the screws to force them in. The Pit does look good once assembled. Fires perform well due to the open mesh on the sides. There are breather holes in the bottom covered with shields. This creates a nice oxygen pull to keep the fire going. The foot rest rim around the edge is at the right height and comfortable but again, is quite flimsy. Summary: Good Design but inferior metal.
It's an ok product. I really like the design of it. Very difficult to put together though. I got one of the castle creek beds, pretty easy to put together, and very sturdy. This thing is the complete opposite. Started a couple of hours ago and I just now finished putting it together. Didn't get a couple of the screws to go in, but it seems ok. Haven't decided if I'm going to return it, or not. I want to at least test it out. But It's not worth the price.
Received and assembled the fire pit just prior to a week of rain. Have not even burned any wood in it and it is covered in rust. I now have to sand and clean it to paint it with high temperature stove paint before I can even use it. Like the design but not the quality.
the quality of the material is terrible. some of The pre drilled holes for the screws were off and I was forced to get a drill to make them larger. the end of one of the inside boxes was torn and the parts were spilling out, I didn't realize one of the leg plates was damaged until I had it almost completed but I was able to straighten it enough. would not recommend buying this fire pit.
Had to get my money back…never received item I paid for. Because sportsman guide uses FedEx delivery service and they suck. Do not order from them
