By clamping an eye bolt (to hang from the roof peak) to the top of the shaft using two hose clamps and shortening the length of the bottom shaft so as to sit on my air conditioner, this half umbrella makes a perfect awning for my 2010 Aliner Ranger camper! Easy up, easy down. easy to fold if it gets too windy and easy to store. And very inexpensive compared to other awnings available for this type camper.

The half umbrella is good quality. The umbrella is a medium wt.. canvas and the arms, shaft and handle are metal. The elevation mech, is plastic but it seems sturdy and it raises and lowers by a cord pulley system attached to a crank. So far it seems durable. It raises and lowers easily. Noticed some small tearing around the stitching by the pockets that contain the umbrella arms but it is very tiny and I don't see it being a problem. It covers about 90% of a 5 by 10 ft. deck. Be sure to get a semi circle base so the umbrella sits flush against the patio or wall. Its a shame SG doesn't offer one, its the perfect complement

At first I couldn't fathom why anyone would want a half umbrella? Then it struck me that this was the solution to circumventing my town's not allowing any awning or canopy over one's driveway. Using adjustable 1/4" diameter threaded rods with turnbuckles and eye-bolts, the half umbrella serves as a removable wind proof awning atop my garage door shading the hood of my truck and my feral cat pals. It's a win all solution that also enhances my garage door rear truk mural. The addition of a four step seat and adjustable height table will complete the Tale-G8 demonstration fraud N.C.B.Y. Heel-icopter patrol.

This is the third time I have purchased this half umbrella. I love it! It looks so nice on my deck, it is easy to use, and the color matches my roof perfectly. I am only replacing the previous umbrella because of stormy weather when I was away from home.

It's exactly what I needed the only is doesn't have a tie down around it when you close it

I purchased 2 of the umbrellas to help shade my dogs and not let them get their leads tangled on the poles. 1 is set next to the kennel and can be rotated to follow the sun. the other is set so that if the dogs are out they can use it but if it's raining I can swing it over me and my grill.

this half round is easy to move. I use it in front of the slider, and it keeps the direst sun off the door. It had a broken plastic top right out of the box, it does not affect performance, but i have not gotten any response back about it from Sportsmans Guide.

We bought a Khaki colored half umbrella for our south facing patio room door. It shades well enough. But the lever to open and close it broke within the first season of owning it. Had always been difficult to open and close, as if something was stuck . Last time, as I was trying to open it, I heard and felt a big click sound and it worked fine to finish opening it but it never closed again. So there it is, as the door, through sun, rain, summer to winter permanently opened.

The umbrella was much smaller than I had thought so I took the time to drive to the retail store to have them do a refund at location. They took the information for the refund and never credited my account now I am stuck in a big fiasco trying to get my money back on this item.
