Castlewood Fort Swing Set

My grandson loves his swing set. He especially enjoys the kitchen area. The colors blend beautifully in the backyard.

Great play set! Took a while to put together! But laying it all out by the numbers made it easier. It was a gift for the grandkids! They love it.

Great swing set, had all the parts when it arrived they even sent extra hardware. I put together by myself so its not hard to put together but took along time, about 20 hours 4 or 5 hrs a day for 4 days, hardest part was the tube slide (took about 1/2 the time) but the best way was with the zip ties that I read off of a review on here. Overall the Grandkids love it with plenty of activitys, definitely worth the price and time

This is a great swingset for the price in comparison to other. The directions are fairly easy to understand, I have a lot of construction background so that definitly helped. As most others say, the tube slide is the most challeging part, getting all the holes to line up is a challenge. I found by using multilpe screwdrivers to put in the holes helped lining up the holes TREMENDOUSLY!!! I have added a picture to help explain

The playset overall is amazing for what you get in price. gave 4 stars due to a couple pieces of wood were broke in half due to packaging and shipping and the only way to replace was to return the whole set. decided to replace those pieces with wood we cut ourselves.

Its a lot of work for one person (about 20 solo hours) but the wood is light so moving the pieces around during assembly wasn't bad. The tube slide was definitely the worst part as others have said. I did the first section of the slide as the instructions said then figured out a slight hack of using zip-ties. if you zip-tie every other hole, it lines up the others enough to get the bolts through with limited drama...its still a terrible experience that took me a solid 3 hours. Its a solid, good looking unit that my daughter loves. The kitchen, mailbox and clock are great touches and i ended up with extra hardware that came in handy.

This was the third playset I've ever assembled. Most of it was typical. EXCEPT for the tube slide. It was an absolute nightmare. Took two of us 11 hours to assemble everything except the tube slide. Took 8 hours to assemble the tubeslide alone. Holes are difficult to line up, particularly since many of the pieces are slightly "sprung" during the shipping process. On the plus side it seems pretty well made and the kids really do love it. My only concern is the roof section is only held on with 4 toenailed screws. Seems like a good wind will likely rip it right off, so I'll probably have to add some strapping to it.

I've had this set up for about a month now. It has both pros and cons. Pros: The kids love it. They play on the swings, the slide, and use the kitchen underneath. Most of it seems to be very durable, so I think it will last a long time. Cons: Parts of it are already starting to rust. The swing chains are losing their paint, and it took way too long to assemble (even with the instructions and videos I found online). Several of the screws came mis-threaded, and so I didn't have enough of them to finish. The instructions were not clear about how to assemble the curvy slide, and so I got 80% finished with it and then had to basically start over.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS ITEM! Again like many others box 5 of 5 which is the straight slide was "delayed". Walmart will not send a replacement but will only refund the amount on the slide. Very inconvenient and frustrating!

I'm very disappointed with the quality of this play set. At first it was great. After less than three years, the swing part of it is not even safe for my kids to use so we've had to take down all of the swings. The plastic is worn and old looking as well. My husband is home builder and very handy. He's tried to fix this play set and can't because it's coming apart too much. Not worth the money.
