Catan Junior Family Strategy Board Game for Ages 6 and up, from Asmodee

The game is essentially a condensed and simplified version of Catan. The designers made the right decisions to maintain the spirit of Catan while reducing the number of mechanics at play. I would recommend the game for ages 9 .

my 9 yr old really liked it, but once we figured it out, it was almost too easy. we may have to buy the harder version.

If you've got a young grandson or granddaughter you need to buy this asap. This little game gave us so many laughs and so much quality time together. My 5 and 7 year old granddaughter had so much fun with this. After playing it a couple of times I couldn't sit down without them saying "Grandpa, do you to play Catan". It's all about spending the time with grandchildren.

This is a good Junior version of the game. It moves quickly, has simplified rules and setup, but it also does a pretty good job of preparing younger players for the full version when older. The four year old had to be on a team with his dad, but stayed involved and interested the whole game. The six year old we played with was OK on her own, with occasional reminders from her mom. The older kids loved it and caught on quickly!

After reading some reviews I was on the fence about buying this one. We wanted our kids to play and this seemed easier for kids. Well lets just say my kids didn't play long. Me and my husband have played quite a bit on our own. Its really fun. Waiting on actual catan to be shipped but still see us playing this game.

It was suggested to us by friends to buy this game, to play it with our 7 and 10 year old. We had it shipped to us and it arrived in good as new condition and without damage. So the packaging was brilliant and the game box is really sturdy. No damage inside the box either. We've heard great things about it and we're looking forward to playing together.

High price for the product. should be more in the 20s. or maybe 30

The board game arrived missing one of the pieces, and to exchange it for a fully functioning game I had to pay 3 more dollars as the sale had decreased. I feel like the price I paid should have been honored, as it was due to a defect and not any decision on my part.
