Catan – On the Road Family Strategy Card Game for Ages 10+, from Asmodee

Very fun game. Has an amazing amount of replayability. The strategy involved is easy to understand but would take awhile to master. The challenges and interactions with my family were fun. My kids and wife and I all enjoyed this thoroughly. Great little game.

Ok ok this is a gamers game! It was a bit tricky at first but my older kids and I had a good time figuring it out and once we did the competition began! The cards are really beautiful and fun to use and it's a lengthy game but that's good when you want to kill time. The rules are fairly simple to follow and all in all we had a good time playing.

Catan on the road was a great portable version of the larger Catan universe. Enjoyed how easy it was to learn to play. Was able to play easily with a multigenerational group. Lots of fun!

We are a game loving family and this Catan On the Road checks all the boxes for us. It is fun, portable, and not tedious or time consuming. Each time you play is different! The cards are compact, perfect for travel. This can totally be played on a park bench or at the pool. One round can be completed in 15 minutes, we you make your way around the island building. It's a great family game for kids over 10 years and 3-4 players. This game is great to teach kids tactics and strategy and get them off screens for awhile. Highly recommend for a fun family game night.

Great travel game! My 11 and 13 year old kids and I enjoyed this game. Reading through the instructions took a little while but everything is very clear and easy to understand. The game is meant for 3-4 players, but we tried it as a 2-player game and found it worked just as well. (I recommend if playing as 2-player game to draw two resource cards on each harvest instead of one.) Gameplay was about 20 minutes. I think it would be fun for kids and grown ups alike. Since it's essentially just a deck of cards, it's easy to pack and go. The quality of the cards is good, not too flimsy. The cards fit neatly in the box, but with games like these where there are several mini decks, I prefer to keep the mini decks separated with elastics and store them in a plastic box.

this game is perfect for quick playtime sessions and stil offer a fun layer of strategy. The interaction between players keeps it engaging, and the replayability is great since every round feels different. Plus, the art is beautiful and adds to the overall experience.

This is a fun quick game when you've got a little time to pass it was a little difficult for my younger child to pick up right away but eventually she got it definitely a game of strategy and I think that was the hardest part to get across was you don't want to trade everything but you also don't want to keep everything all in all a fun little time passing game

It was interesting game. Some activity to spend with you kiddos, well spend 15-30 minutes (we have to replay due to toddler) especially in the summer.

This game was fun to play and has the most beautiful artwork! It's fun and challenging for all ages. I played it with my fiance and thirteen year old and we thought it was exciting and unique! I gave it 4 stars because I originally thought it was a game to play on the road but then realized it's a road themed game rather. I also was confused on the set-up and game play but my fiance was able to help me understand and we had fun in the end. We will definitely play this game again in the future and we are interested to see what other Catan games are like!

Might be a great card game for someone else, but my family didn't really enjoy it. Just not our type of “genre” if you will. It was fun to play one and get to try out something new, but wouldn't play again. If trading, building settlements/roads and recruiting knights to reach victory sounds like a game for you, then try Catan!
