Catan Studio Catan Starfarers Board Game

Fun game for the older teenagers. Good shipping time and packaged nicely. It was a good purchase.

The game was confusing and challenging to learn. But once we got the hang of it, it is fun to play. Combines strategy and a measure luck. It's like Star Trek meets Settlers of Catan. takes several hours to play. The game is similar to the other Catan Settler games where you collect resources and build out space colonies and spaceports to collect points to win. The game also introduces the outside element of a potential space encounter on each player's turn which can really impact the player's strategy - either assisting their opponents in unexpected ways or hampering their abilities. If you enjoyed but have tired of the traditional land Settlers of Catan; Starfarers is definitely worth a spin.

Better than original Catan in my opinion. It's a little more complex but it moves well, no more getting stuck with no resources when you roll a 7. Everyone but the robber gets a resource, so it moves better. This is very fun, takes about 2 hours for four people. Regular Catan takes about an hour, so this one is more involved. But very fun!!

This is a great game I was a player of the base Catan and decided to buy a different one so went with this and I love it. It gives a twist and is more dynamic.

Great game! Doesnt play like the original, but had similarities. if you like Catan and those types of boars ganes, adding the space theme is just a plus! the game is well worth around the $75-80 dollar region, with very good quality pieces.

We love the original Catan but were ready to try a new adventure. Beautifully designed, somewhat similar to Settlers but different enough to make it new and fresh. Great addition!

We are already Catan fans and this version is just as awesome! Got it at Christmas gor $50- well worth it!

I recommend finding a video and learning how to play it prior to getting, because it's a LOT to learn. We love regular catan, this one was a bit much for us. It's beautiful and great quality though!
