I use the fly ribbons to catch fruit/septic flies/gnats, and run a ribbon or two down the vent on my septic tank. It catches most of these frustrating little critters before they can enter the house plumbing system. You don't want to order too many of the ribbons, as they harden with age, and if stored more than a year will tear when trying to pull out.
It seemed that flies were outside just waiting for me to open the sliding glass door to the porch so they can get into my home. After arriving of the ribbons I immediately was going to put one outdoors to catch as many flies as possible, by securing the ribbon hanging from the porch ceiling. Me on top of the ladder, carefully unwrapping the sticky ribbon when suddenly a wind gust hit. Yep, the whole ribbon got sticking on me and me cursing it. Well, I can tell you, it sure is extremely sticky. I finally managed to get it hanging. Took me dozens of alcohol pads to get that sticky stuff off my skin. The next morning already 10 flies were sticking on the ribbon. The ribbon truly work!
I love these crazy things. They work really good. Anybody gets them? I'll just let you know they work well.
I already sold a couple for a dollar I got it hanging in a spot where nobody will get it caught in their hair
These fly ribbons are easy to use, I like that they each come with a thumbtack to hang them with. When you pull them down the "ribbon" comes out tightly twisted and they can't be easily untwisted which limits the area for flies to attach to. But when flies hit them they do stick.
the product was good. but you didn't put the apartment number on the address----so it was delivered to the correct building but the wrong apartment.
They work as long as you install them correctly out-of-the-way. They're very sticky so if it falls on indoor things, it's a mess choice is yours.
these fly steps do not work very well. my daughter put them up at least 48 hrs ago and there might be 2 flies on it. the ones we had up before these were visibly covered after 24 hrs of being up. it was a waste of my money, i would like my money back.
Neat compact design. We have a lot of flyers outside, waiting for a door to open so they can come inside. I tried outside and inside and only captured two one on each ribbon. This why I rated the product as only two stars.
Didn't catch any flies and there is a good as could be. I had one in my house and went out on my patio and didn't catch anything. I bought a defaulter in that helped.
