At first when I received the package, I seen how small it was. I thought I got the wrong thing delivered but after I took it all out of the box and seen the size, the light bulb went off on the small area's I could put them in without destroying another pair of scissors by cutting the papers. So all n all it worked out perfect. The plus is, they're not poisonous for animals and collects the creepy crawler's such as spider's etc. Once on there's no getting off of it!
I set this out near where I could hear some scratching and sure enough it was a mouse. However, it somehow managed to drag the trap out into the middle of my kitchen floor, and I had to put a box over it until wriggled and slowly died. Make sure it's behind something. Gross, but the mouse isn't eating and pooping in my food at the same time either.
These traps are assume. We noticed some cockroaches outside and set these up near the doors and caught a few. We may have been too late as we found a cockroach come from under the fridge. We pulled the fridge out and found several roaches. I set up several traps around the fridge and in a day we had 20 adolescent roaches caught. a few days later we found almost a 50 tiny roaches that must have hatched. After another week with new traps, the roaches stopped coming and we haven't seen any for several weeks. Not only are the traps sticky but they also seem to attract the bugs with the scent. Plus they are economical and cleaner than bug sprays.
I've been using these glue traps for quite some time, however, I place them only to catch bugs, not mice. I luckily do not get mice in my home, but if I did I would use regular mouse traps, as to me these sticky traps would be cruel. I live in the country and so get a fair share of palmetto bugs (so gross!, welcome to the deep South!), occasional spiders, and an assortment of various types of tiny bugs. they can be folded into a box and placed along the baseboard, or left flat for under furniture. they are super sticky, which is the whole point, so if something falls on one you're likely not going to be able to pull it off. when I place them flat I make sure they're in an area where my dog can't accidentally step on them. Regardless of the amount of bugs A trap catches, it will need to be replaced periodically as they collect dust and become less effective. combined with using the traps, I've also sealed with caulking around the doors and windows and baseboards. I also use cedar side pellets outside around the house. I avoid bugs when walking outside, but when they get in the house it's game on!
i wish the glue part went all the way to the edge of each board. I use these to set down to trap cockroaches. i trim the edge off of 3 sides, then cut them in half length-wise. Then slide the short side together to male however long a piece i need. I put 4 together %26 slide them under the front of my fridge. Then i line up 6 cat food bowls in front of that. Then cats/kittens cant get to them. Then i take another 3, line them up behind 4 cat dishes in front of microwave oven cabinet. I chanfe them out about every 3 or so days.
I bought these for my spider problem. I laid them flat on the floor corners and crannies. They worked very well. I I caught many after the first overnight. However, I realized The spiders were only around the edges of the sticky trap. Stopping them in their tracks. I then cut the traps in smaller sections, thus multiplying my traps. I believe these would work on Rats too. Just don't touch the sticky. It's really sticky.
I am handicapped and have to use a grab stick to put on the floor. Many of them flip and its glue side down. Impossible to get off the floor after that. They work good for bugs but mice don't seem to like them. Mice will also walk away with the trap stuck on them.
Item needs to be bigger too light had to stick two of them together to keep from the mice walking off with the glue trap. Not a big fan of the Senate trap, you only see that listed in small print on one of the outside packages it is not mentioned in the description.
These don't catch as well as the Black Cat brand and also can't be picked up and stored/reused like the Black Cat sticky boards that are plastic and snap together with the stick sides together. I saw a mouse run right across the board without sticking to it.
I've seen mice in my house. My grandkids have seen mice in my house. That's the reason I ordered such a lg quantity of traps. I put traps out the day I received my order. I've added one or 2 traps a day. I've not caught the first mouse. Very disappointed
