Caterpillar® Fan 20" High-Velocity 3-Speed Metal Floor Fan, 5000 CFM, Black

This floor fan replaced one I had for many, many years that was great for a large room or open area. I wanted to buy the same fan but the company doesn't even exist any longer. So I began searching. All 20" floor fans were advertised for use in garages, basements and outside. They were way too powerful. I wanted well built, reasonably priced, not too noisy and not so much power that it would blow apart everything in the room. I checked many manufacturers, numerous fans, all the specs and so many reviews. Nothing stood out as being great and all had a 1 year warranty. Then I found this Caterpillar Fan. It's a reputable name. The fan is powerful but not too powerful. It's all metal construction. A big plus is that the front grill can be easily removed for cleaning the blades. What convinced me to buy this fan was when I read that there is a 3 year warranty. I looked at a whole lot of fans and every company gave a 1 year warranty. I stopped searching and purchased the Caterpillar. It was delivered on time, double boxed in perfect condition, more powerful than my old fan but not too powerful. I wish the cord was a little longer but all cords are shorter now for safety reasons. I haven't had it long but it's great so far and I already sent in the warranty registration, just in case. I do a lot of research and comparing before I buy anything that I need to last like large and small appliances and electronics. If anyone is looking for a similar floor fan and doesn't have the time to spend searching what's out there, I've done the homework. You can trust my review.
