Not So Great Catherine
The portrayal of Catherine the Great by Helen Mirren was superb, but my praise slows down after that. The visions of the splendor of Russian Palaces was well done, but the details of the whole were lacking. "Potemkin Villages" has come down to us as the false fronts of villages he produced when she reviewed the great work he had done, and that was lacking. The curious failings of some of those in line for the throne after Peter The Great was not even hinted at. It was a huge disappointment!

Dramatic Rendition
After reading Robert Masse's book about Catherine The Great, I was unprepared for the constant use of the-f-word in court, among friends, with lovers, in meetings presented in this product. Without f-word one third of dialogue would be gone! Lotsa uncomforting intercourse scenes with hree or so in opening 12 minutes among various cast members. Mislead by 5 star reviews. If you have extremely low views of true history and wish to pretend that current cultural lows are revenant, view this movie.

Described as Historical but .. this is hard core PORNO
Not what anticipated. This is described as historical and I ordered for my grandchildren who like to watch history. This has history...but multiple episodes of Pornography worse than X rated
