Works. Would buy again.

txtwinmom May 29, 2023

This is a decemt product. The door closes fairly early at dusk so if you have late chickens this is not for you. One con is that if you mount the door on unfinished wood, then changes in humidity will cause the door to stick, especially in the mornings. Overall it works as intended, is worth the price, and I would purchase again.

In receipt my husband thinks it is not sturdy enough to be long lasting. Intends to return to our local store for credit.

This is junk

Sherry May 26, 2023

i am only giving this a 1 star because it shipped quickly, this item is junk, very flemsy a predator could easily push through it, then it shuts when chickens are in the doorway the few times it did shut, day 3 was it, it died the motor kept clicking like it was off track again, happened several times, then it died, rest in piece door, I should have thrown my money out the car window maybe somone could have benefited from it. I even read reviews before purchasing, either those were lies by the company that makes this or those people just got lucky and hasnt broke on them yet, my husband said well we got what we paid for, 3 total times it worked correctly so we didn't have to manually close ourselves. This is the 1st review I have ever wrote because Im msd, this product does not make you feel safe at all protecting your chickens and making sure then get to come out when they need to. Buyers beware.

Purchased twice, both failed

Reba February 13, 2024

First purchase the door worked exactly as expected. After aprox 7 months it became more and more unreliable until it just completely quit working. Purchased a second to replace. Would close properly but would not open, which completely defeats the purpose.

Returned immediately! Junk

kathleen April 13, 2024

I know you get what you pay for. This door is exactly that! Cheap plastic, even the door. As soon as I removed it from the box I heard something rolling around inside motor compartment. Door would definitely not be critter proof. Because it is plastic and doesn't completely seal there is enough of a gap at bottom for predator to get in. Door motor also made a continuous clicking sound after opening and closing.

do not buy

KATILLACHARLEY March 4, 2024

it is a flimsy piece of plastic held together with tiny little finishing screws the gear that is just slide into the slots of the door is recessed in the housing which does not allow the gears to even touch the door there is no soundness or security in this door whatsoever A cat could get through this door it is less than the width of an American penny

After two weeks didn't work

GINNY May 5, 2024

So sad I had it installed and worked less than two weeks. For being so pricey, but on sale, it sure doesn't seem like the quality is there very disappointed.

Terrible

Natalie April 7, 2024

Didn't even get to use it once. The solar sensor works, but it's so janky that the gears don't catch whatsoever, and it doesn't open and close.
