Diatomaceous earth is the best and least expensive way to keep a swimming pool clean. Using it results in only having to backwash once every 4 weeks versus weekly, cuts chlorine use by at least a third because the algae are caught in the filter, overall water chemistry is much more stable versus sand filtration. So, buying the 50-pound bag (which should last at least 3 seasons) for $60 with free shipping is an unbeatable bargain. When previously purchased, Celatom brand was uniform in consistency and stored trouble-free in a lidded trash bin on a covered porch.

Ordered and received the 50 lbs bag in days. The DE is exactly like that sold in pool supply stores but it is delivered to my home and I save over $30. Since the bag comes in a cardboard box, it was easy to move from my front door to pool area with a dolly.

Wow, wow, it was bulky, big, and heavy! Good thing you had a young strong driver, and we have young strong grandchildren, who put the 50 pound package in our shed near the pool. The driver was a gentleman and Walmart delivered as they promised, as is most the case.

product and product brand are fine. similar to other brands. packaging is a disaster. a single overly large bag of pool powder, weighing 50 lbs, is almost impossible to handle, unless you have a gorilla for a pool boy. consider 2 bags. that's how most vendors sell it.
