Celestial Seasonings Matcha Green Tea Bags (20 Count)

Matcha green is a finely ground powder of green tea specially processed from shade-grown tea leaves. This has a mellow mild flavor, matcha seems to have more of what green teas are known for. Celestial Seasonings has now ditched the plastic outer wrap on their packaging.

I was looking for a green tea from leaves & included Matcha so I gave this a try as it was also not overly expensive as well. Celestial tea is a tea company that has been around a long time and for me is a company I trust for quality tea. The steep recommended is 2 minutes and I thought that was rather short but after my first try I knew that was just right. It is flavorful and I will be buying it again.

Love it! Would happily get it again. It's delicious tea, and really healthy too.

The longer it steeps, the better it tastes. However, it has a slightly grassy and light green tea flavor, with a slight bitter aftertaste. It doesn't have enough flavor for me to buy again. But, at the same time, I've had much worse green tea. I drink it as a hot tea and have not tried to make it as a cold matcha tea drink. I bet that would taste good, but keep in mind this matcha green tea is on the bland side.

Great quality and great taste - a bit more intense than normal green tea but it is really good option instead of coffee for a hit of caffeine.

This is a very pleasant Matcha Tea. I like that the tea is contained in little pouches, so you aren't dealing with scooping out green powder. It has a mild flavor which is very delicious with honey.

The taste of this green tea isn't the best to me and I'm not sure of the quality as compared to green tea from Japan. The ingredients seem ok but taste abit sour. Easy to use but the package is not individual. Saves on packaging but some people may not like that.
