Celestron 8 - 24mm Zoom Eyepiece with 1-1/4" Mount.

It's amazing, such a quality piece of equipment when you hold it in your hands you can feel the quality of it,very well made outstanding clarity perfect amount of eye relief,as usual celestron has knocked it out of the park 🖖

At the current price, which is half of what it normally goes for, its a steal of a deal. Even at normal price it's a good option if u only have the budget for 1 eyepiece and can't pay for a set. Just know there's limitations going into it. Field of view at the lower power is limited a bit and eye relief isn't the best but still fairly comfortable. It weighs quite a bit as well so can mess with the balance of your scope. It does come threaded for a t ring adapter to connect your dslr. The bad part of that is if u have a plastic focuser, the combo of this eyepiece and a dslr will probably be too much. Overall, its a great option with clear views and get's you access to lots of eyepieces with the purchase of 1 so give it a go. If you dont like it, it's probably returnable to ur local walmart so it's a win win.

Purchased this EP basically being impatient on two others we wanted. This one is pretty decent. It has terrible AFOV in the 24mm setting (42 degrees), and around 60 degrees supposedly in the 8mm setting. You definitely lose a bit of light on the higher magnification, but not to the point of disaster. Astrophotography is not happening with this EP. Camera doesn't pick up enough light for some reason and the eye relief isn't that great. I would recommend this EP for someone with a telescope smaller than 8 inches.
