Great Scope and Mount
The Celestron Advanced mount and 8" Schmidt Cassegrain telescope is an outstanding value. The AVX mount is equatorial and suited to deep sky and planetary imaging. The 8" optical tube is outstanding.<br /><br />The only thing that could improve this scope and mount is great customer service, and you get that with Adorama.

Great Amateur Telescope
I purchased this telescope and then "tricked" it out by adding a HyperStar mount that enables it to change from f/10 to f/2. I also added StarSense to it for quick and accurate alignment. With all of that the telescope is able to take excellent photos of the night sky including spiral galaxies and nebula. 40 years ago I trained as a professional astronomer and so it is fun to see how far technology has taken the field over this time span.The Adorama price and delivery were the best.

Great First Impression
This is my first real telescope, so I might not be the greatest judge, but I'm in love with this kit. It's sturdy, the controls are great (if not immediately intuitive to someone new to the hobby), and the kits has lots of room for expansion. I'm currently waiting on adapters so I can attach my DSLR camera for some real astrophotography.

Everything arrived as advertised in one day. Happily photographing the moon and working on DSOs.
