I had read reviews of the swivel being weak and breaking quickly, which at first, made me skeptical. When it was delivered, I spent time pulling it and twisting it to make sure it was sturdy- and thankfully it was. The material is wonderful, it feels secure in your hand; it's light enough to feel the horse, but you have enough there to give an obvious release. I love it, and would totally recommend it. The only thing that would make it better is if it were maybe 2-5 feet shorter, but it's not too bad, I just have short arms and small hands haha. I love the grips towards the end of the lunge, and the donut is cool too, I can imagine it being used for multiple functions.
I was accustomed to a heavier lunge line, and so at first, this felt odd. But not for long. It is light and friendly to the hands and arms, the shoulders, and it doesn't drag on the horse. In the end, the actually are more responsive to it. Plus, I love the lavender. It's a great color.
We teach a lot of lunge lessons and it's hard to find a good line with a durable snap that's not too heavy. This is a great lunge line that does just that!
I bought this line for my horses trainer and she loves it. She liked the clip with the extra piece on it. Also liked the end with the loop on it. Great buy would recommend
I like the design of this line, great feel and I like that it's not so light it blows in the wind. The lunge line is really grippy, and it's thick enough that if your horse bolts/spooks the line won't cut your hand. The only thing I don't like is that the hardware is not the best.
I think I have some helpful observations about this lunge line and the comments about the stiffness/not of the line. I purchased this lunge line 3 years ago for my friend. That line was definitely a bit stiff at first but broken in after a month of regular use. It is a great line. Last month, I ordered this line again for myself and the line I received recently is definitely much less stiff, than the line from a couple years ago. So, I think it's possible that manufacturing has changed at some point for this line.
Best lunge line I've had, and I've had several. Doesn't burn your hands like nylon (if you forget to wear gloves- ouch!) and isn't "fat" like a rope lunge line. This one is not too stiff or too flimsy and the length is perfect. I'm not crazy about the snap, but overall, this is a nice lunge line and I love the variety of colors available.
I have been on the hunt for a non-stretch lunge line for training. This one seemed to check all the boxes; however as soon as I began my lesson using this new tool, I was honestly shocked at how awful it was. The cotton is rough and hard, not folding easily and it became a tangled mess very quickly and picked up dirt more than other other lunge line I've used in the past. The snap is nice with the swivel. But that is all this line has going for it. The hunt for the perfect line continues!
I bought this last August but didn't use it until today. As I was lungeing for the vet to observe my horse for lameness, the medal which attaches the clip to the cotton webbing broke. It appears that the medal was soft. I am disappointed to say $24 was wasted for less than a few minutes of use.
I bought this line a little less than a year ago when my horse started demonstrating some lameness issues. I used it lightly, maybe 10-15 times, just to evaluate how well he was moving out over the last couple months and to lunge him for the farrier and vet. The line did have a nice thick cotton webbing and I loved the color of the light blue (cute, easy to see, and unique). However, as another review mentioned the metal that held the clip to the webbing broke. I was very disappointed because I only had it for 8 months or so and I really didn't get a lot of mileage out of it. Not that I spent a ton of money on it but I was hoping to get a lot more use out of it then I did. I'm shopping for a replacement now and wouldn't buy this one again.
