I recieved this card and discovered it does not contain a micro sd card as stated. I contacted the Centon compay to verify I was correct so save yourself the time and hassle of having to return it if you are wanting a micro sd card. the phone # to verify this is available at centon.com
Used this with a Nikon V1. Memory card was really quick. Allowed me to shoot continuous shots and no problems. There was a little pause after letting go of the shutter, but it wasn't as bad as the other cards I tested.
Came with my camera as a bundle package, however I would buy this memory card again if needed. Seems to work just fine. Have only had it for about a month. Holds over 1000 pics on best setting on a 16.0 megapixel camera.
This is a very good price for an 8GB Memory Card. I used this with the Nikon 1 V1 digital camera and it works well. I was surprised that this memory card could fit so many photos! This memory card allowed me to take over 1,000 photos/videos on the camera (considering the high picture quality)!! I had no problem downloading the photos from the camera to the laptop.
We have a Canon Elph 110, which takes Full HD video. I read a review of this card that said this card (being Class 4) wouldn't work with HD video recording. I haven't had a problem with this. But I haven't done much video recording and I only use the default video settings. Perhaps I haven't pushed this card to its limits yet. It works fine for us.
Absolutely lived up to expectations. I was using it in the Nikon CoolPix I was reviewing and although I may not have great things to say about the camera, I never had a single problem related to the memory card. 8 gigs of data for $8 is a really great deal, and it's been a solid and reliable memory card for me. Only reason I gave it 4 stars is it doesn't do anything above and beyond expectations; it's just good at what it's supposed to do.
This is an amazing price for this type & size of card. I have only had it for a short period of time, so I cannot speak to the longevity, but would be careful to download images as soon as possible and reformat the card after each download. There is a noticeable lag time when recording images to the card. The download time isn't too bad, but understandable for the price.
I bought the bundle that was offered at Walmart.com which had the Nikon Coolpix, a case and memory card. It gave a couple to choose from in the bundle. This gift was for my niece and when we got it we tried to get it setup and ready for her but the memory card wouldn't work with the camera we got. I am honestly not sure how good or bad the memory card is but it was very frustrating to get a memory card that was offered with a bundle only to find out that it was not the right one. I would hope in the future that if Wal-Mart has a bundle like this that they would make sure the memory cards they are offering actually work with that specific camera. Disappointed.
I would love to review this product however I never received it. I ordered a 32 at the same time I bought the camera and this memory card. The camera was sent Fed Ex and arrived very promptly. The 32 memory card arrived a couple of days later in a small, padded envelope and works fine. The box that the second memory card was supposed to be in arrived about 4 days after that. I received a huge box (was at least 6 inches deep, 16 x 10 at least. There was a spot on the bottom of the box where the packing tape had been pushed aside and a small hole was torn in the box. When I opened the box, there was no memory card inside. It was absolute insanity to mail a small memory card in a box big enough to ship a CD player in.
I was sold this memory in a package deal with a digital Nikon camera. It does not work correctly during playback. It seemed to record OK, but during playback for either video or pictures, the camera would lockup and a few times actually shut off. To make sure it was not the camera, I bought a high speed class 10 UHS-1 memory. I have been using the new memory for several weeks and have not had any of the lock ups that this memory had. I even tried this memory again and the problems started again right away. I feel this memory is just too slow and should not be sold for use with a digital camera.
