Cequent Laitner Jumbo Lobby Dustpan with Long Handle - Plastic, Commercial Use - 12 In, Multicolor — Residential Use, Standard Application

I purchased one of these (different brand) months ago. Wanted to see how it worked for cleaning around a large building. It's the right tool for the job. It doesn't fold up, so it takes up some space but it's great to have around. We use it every day. I think this is made in America and I ordered this particular one because it's RED. I like RED and the color denotes what items may be picked up in this dustpan.

juat what i was hoping for, wide mouth enabling easy sweep of yard trim etc.

The best thing for commercial use

Not too big and not too small, size is just right! Like the red color, most others are yellow. Feels heavy duty. Much better than my smaller yellow scoop that I've had for years!

Too big. I can see where there will a problem with the handle dislodges.

This is a very good dustpan when you want to sweep up largish trash or a lot of it. It could stand to be wider and I'd like the swivel to be more free when the dustpan is lifted from the floor, so trash falls down into the pan automatically. It could also stand to be lighter; the heavy duty handle isn't really needed. Still, this is the best I've been able to find since my old one got broken.

This product WILL function as a large dustpan. That said, it's mediocre, because when the handle is supposed to be "locked" in the upright position (i.e., when the product is in use), it has a very annoying tendency to separate from its plastic retainer, allowing the pan part to flop and/or the handle to go forward. That makes using it for any extended time a chore.
