Yet another great Cerakote product!

Lyndmc February 19, 2026

I'm already a believer in Cerakote products, I used their headlight restored 2 years ago and my headlights still look pretty good. This plastic restorer product is on the same level of good products. My 14 Tacoma bumper plastic was looking dirty and dry. I did a good cleaning and applied this product, and it looks great! Be sure to clean the surface well, and put on a good wet coat via the included microfiber towel. You're going to want to go over it a few times on your first coat to be sure that you have no streaks. The product needs to seep into the grain of the plastic for a good even coat. The box recommends wearing gloves while applying, but gloves don't come in the kit. Most of us have them on hand anyway. My plastic was very weathered and looks great on the first coat. I may give it another coat in the next day or so to be sure. I'm betting that this coating will stand up like their other products. The pictures are (left) before and (right) after. Notice the slightly darker color and the little bit of shine. The pictures really don't do it proper justice.

Make your car look new again!

Sara February 17, 2026

It's really amazing what the right product can do for your car! This product, in an instant, brings your car from old and dull to shiny new with a wipe! Just clean the trim of your car first, allow it to dry, then apply the product with the included microfiber towel (includes 2 actually). You will find it gives your trim, whether new or old, a rich and deep shine. It isn't just about aesthetics; this coating will also help repel dirt and dust!

Wonderful product!

Todd February 11, 2026

Having used Cerakote for years, I can tell you it's far superior to any wax. It's a lab-developed ceramic coating that offers an effortless application and a professional gloss finish. It renders traditional waxes and restorers obsolete, I have this and nothing else in my garage. Once you try it, it'll be the only product in your garage. Super easy to use and you won't regret it!

i really like the products this company makes i have used the headlight restored before no this time i used the black trim restorer and it turns that faded black into shiny black so it comes i. a shampoo looking bottle and just apply it to a rag and spreadint evenly on your plastic trim and rub it around until its nice and shiny seems to hold up good after we got some rain im happy with this purcharce

Does What It Says!

Anonymous February 10, 2026

I've used Meguiar's Ultimate Black Plastic Restorer for years and it works well, but it doesn't hold up to the elements. After one good rain, I usually have to reapply. That's why I decided to try Cerakote Rapid Ceramic Plastic Restorer, especially since it claims protection for up to 50 washes. When the package arrived, I went to grab a microfiber cloth and found that two were already included, which was a nice touch. After cleaning my side mirror, I applied the product as directed—just spray and wipe off. Application was quick and simple. The plastic immediately looked restored and darkened, similar to other brands I've used. The real test was durability. After several rounds of snow and heavy rain, including a strong downpour, the finish held up noticeably better than what I've experienced with Meguiar's. The price is comparable, but the longer-lasting protection is what stands out. If it truly lasts several months as advertised, it will easily replace what I've been using. So far, this is a strong buy for me.

it was delivered in a box where the bottle had leaked, making the box mushy. The lid was loose. i tried it out on the tailgate of my truck, it looks like its going to work well, only time will tell. Please note it says to make certain it has 2 hours to cure prior to getting wet.

Good for Newer Trim and Not Greasy

MrDIY February 17, 2026

I like how the spray is absorbed and not greasy. Other sprays I have used are greasy and attract dirt. This does not and it leaves a deep black color. However this is really not for very faded trim. The manufacturer says if your trim is very faded to get their restoration product. I found this to be true. You can see my before and after photos of my door handles, the plastic vent shield by the windshield, and plastic on my roof. For the windowshield vent trim you can see the results with one and two coatings compared to no coatings . I was impressed with how it turned the door handles more black as well as my other plastic trim. Howeve, I wish it did more to restore deep fadeing. I agree with the manufacturer that this product is more for protection of newer trim and trim that is not too faded.

easy to apply, works better than similar products

bobbyrpesq March 2, 2026

this Cerakote plastic restorer works good. It helps blend in scratches and make them less noticeable. It provides a good shine but I wouldn't call it a mirror finish. I wouldn't use this one windshield but for plastic it does a good job. It's easy to install with the included cloths and easy to use because all you have to do it wipe it on and let it dry. It must not be a concentrate because it doesn't have to be diluted before using. I am subtracting one star because the bottle was open on arrival and some of it leaked out. recommended. Works a little better than previous similar products that I've tried.

PRODUCT WORKS FAIR

Christopher June 24, 2026

Product works fair. l have used Meguiar's Ultimate black and Chemical Guys VRP in the past. l always wanted to try Cerakote so l purchased it. ln comparison Meguiars or VRP is a superior product. I do like Cerakotes products and l use them often on all my vehicles. l do recommend them often as well. This one though is the one product that is lacking and needs some improvement. Meguiars or Chemical Guys is a much better choice for your plastic and rubber needs.

Did NOT fully renew R.R. Hurricane textured flares

Hutchy February 10, 2026

And even did a second coat, per instructions, but really no better. I have tried Back to Black spray(instantly disappeared), Ultimate Black(streaks), foaming tire dressing(spotty), M Tech(attracted bugs), even Armor-nothing(made it way worse!) out of desperation. Nothing seems to work on this plastic. It might look okay until it gets rained on, or the first frost, but nothing really looks good for very long. This stuff did look decent when wet, but when dried, it only looked slightly better. I wish it would come out much blacker. Does feel slippery though. Time will tell if it can hold up or last for 50 "washes". The cost was cheaper than some, and this stuff came with two microfiber towels! Hope this helps and as always, thank you for reading.
