I've been purchasing this product for years. It's always consistently of good quality, clean without debris, soaks well, and produces an excellent, high protein end-product. I grind mine into chick pea flour, soak it for hummus, make patties, pressure can them for quick use later, and use them for long-term storage. I even use these to grow in my greenhouse for more chickpeas.

Glyphosate free chickpeas are definitely a plus without worry of harmful pesticides On top of that , taste is awesome and they boil to a perfect full texture . Very nutritious

This is my favorite brand of dried chickpeas. And I find the dried ones superior to the canned ones that I use when I'm in a hurry.

I've only bought great value dried chick peas, or pre-cooked version, but value higher quality plant nutrition, including for my dogs. If you have some extra money, BUY THESE. I bought the 3 bag option not knowing how much better they would be. They did not disappoint.... opening beautifully/very full, and TENDER!! There's no comparison to the gv experience, but hey, those are good, too, if that is what your spending allows!!!! Side note-I love and value practical gifts. These come in burlap bags, so in addition to being an outstanding practical food gift, the presentation is clutch, too. Something to think about for your plant based loved ones for presents.

I made home made hummus from these beans and it was stupendous. Much better than canned beans!

Invest in a pressure cooker for best results.

The burlap bag that holds these chickpeas gave off a strong and unpleasant chemical smell, that I hoped would not affect the garbanzos once cooked. After soaking and cooking, we could detect the same bitter chemical taste, just not as strong. I contacted Walmart customer care by phone, as they would not process an online return, but they will not accept return of this product at all, and gave no explanation. Such a shame that five pounds of chickpeas will go to waste.
