I was looking for a way to get more protein and fiber in my families diet without needing to eat more food. I found it in these little yellow split peas. Just a cup and a half daily and you're only 3 grams away from your protein goal and you most definitely will meet your fiber goal. They cook really fast are easy to eat because they're so soft and really good for you. Add a little seasoning and you're good to go. They taste great with mashed potatoes and salad and so many other food item's. Shipped pretty fast.

These split yellow peas are divine!! Exterior peas looked just as fresh and healthy as cooked pea stew! I soaked these in boiled water and drain off the yellow washed liquid, soaked in another round of boiled water to absorb liquid for cooking in slow cooker. These dried peas cooked low for 3hrs with aromatic vegetable infused oil, the texture now looked similar to refried beans dense and tenderized, adding more boiled water lighten up the color and also more appetizing!! Aromatic oil really tenderizes tough dried beans cooked in slow pot!! Water dilutes the texture from thick smashed peas appearance to hummus sauce peas.

the package was left on the steps of the deck under the rain. I had given specific instructions to leave the package in the covered patio, which is only ten feet from stairs. the split peas are in a cloth bag and not protected from moisture by a plastic bag.
