Definitely hydrates and does well overall as a lotion. No scent to it. I feel like this product is more "slippery" than most lotions and for lack of a better word was runny. But because of this, a dime size would be able to cover a lot of skin. It left an odd, wet feeling on my skin until it was absorbed. I recognize that's what lotion does, but this one just felt distinctly different than the average lotion; heads up for any sensory people out there. I feel like you either really like it or it's meh. Not for me unfortunately but was hydrating.

I had read really good reviews and I was hoping for a really simple, made for sensitive skin moisturizer because I had just started using tret. The first few times I used it, my face was burning and I attributed the irritation and pain to my skin reacting to the tret; after a week or so, I was able to pinpoint the cause of the pain and it was my big jug of cetaphil moisturizer. Really disappointing but I caution people before using it even though it's marketed towards sensitive skin. I ended up giving it to a family member who didn't have the same reaction as me.
