I have been wearing Chaco Z2s for decades. This is my latest pair. As I age I have developed metatarsalgia from loss of fat pads (the result of going barefoot most of my life) so I thought I would give the Cloud a try. I am not convinced that the foot bed is any softer than the original Z2s, but maybe they will soften up? Still the best sandal made. A thought for the Chaco design team: How about a nubbly foot bed like Kenkoh uses? I have found that these footbeds are the best for metatarsalgia and in combination with a Chaco sandal would be a winner.
I don't like toe straps. I don't like sandals that wrap the way these do. I hated everything about these Darn things, until I put them on and walked around in them. For Fu$@ sake they are amazing!!!! Easy to follow instructions, but I didn't need them. My fiancé is a seasoned Vet with these things. I hate unpractical. These are functional and they don't look too shabby. She was right again. Hope she doesn't read this. I don't say that often.
Sandals are fantastic. The company's revised loyalty program on revitalizing prior purchases is no good... essentially one that costs you more than buying a brand new pair.
Great foot support and comfortable. They stay snug without slipping sliding, the toe loop keeps it all together. Have only had them a month or so, so I can't comment on longevity but they show no wear to date. My only complaint is the spare strap length after tightening is annoying. If a fastener was devised to resolve this they would score 5+
Loved the first pair I had, but the newer ones have already torn the sole around the toe straps? I find it a bit odd that the pair I had for 3 or so years held up well ( the straps were just getting rough ) but these new ones are already ripping apart. They're good shoes, idk if the materials changed?
Wish your sizes went larger in wide for women as I had toborder a man's size 10 wide to accommodate the width of my foot. The straps are too long and flop around! Please consider making larger women's sizes in wide!!
The width fits great for my very wide feet. I had to get the make sizing because the women's sizing was so limited.
They have fantastic arch support and don't cause my feet to hurt, even after long hikes. However, I've had a lot of difficulty trying to adjust them, which causes rashes and cuts into my feet when I wear them for long periods of time. They're not nearly as easy to adjust as Teva's.
The footbed is very comfortable. Really lovely. But the straps… it's not just hard to put them on and annoying to adjust… the back ankle strap inexplicably doesn't tighten. I don't see one review discussing it. So weird. Overall, they're… fine. Good. But too much of a hassle especially for the price point.
Terrible, I just noticed the soles ripped after barely a few months of wear. Absolute waste of money. Would like a replacement in case these were defective.
