Challenge Butter, Unsalted Butter, 16 oz, 4 sticks

I'm an avid cook and baker and prefer European style butter over American. It can cost a wee bit more, but that's because of the extra butterfat. If you move over to this type of butter, be mindful that it has less water content, as this can affect measures dry measures used in baking. European style butter doesn't contain partially hydrogenated oils (bad fat), and this brand has no rBST. The brand web site has additionally info about their Sustainability practices. Overall: Great taste! Smooth. Creamy. Blends well. However, they fail to include data about non-GMO feeds and don't offer a true grass-fed option. Other brands step up to that level, but cost considerably more. Personally, I alternate buying both types since, sadly, these days excellent quality often outpaces my pocketbook.

Some butters tastes like fat, and only fat, with no buttery flavour at all, but this is not among them. It's as tasty as organic at a lower price, with a slightly nutty, rich flavour and creamy texture. Love it!

I love Challenge butter. I use it to bake beautiful, delicious pound cakes. It tastes great on pancakes, waffles, and toast. This is my favorite brand of butter. I don't use anything else.

A friend of mine buys this butter and recommended it. So I had to try it and now I'm hooked. I think it's health smart or at least a better choice than what I was using for butter. It's worth the price paid.

One of my go to butters. Good ratings in some of the food magazines. I usually have my ''unsalted butter sticks' for cooking and recipes I get this one or the the Lakes. Have purchased many times. Stays fresh a good while.

Challenge butter is so good and I have been buying it for years. It's definitely high quality butter.

Lower cost and great taste.

It's 5 Star butter. My dislike is because of it's shape. Even though all of the other brands are shaped the same as this, it's becoming ludicrous. Give it another few years and the length will resemble a pencil. My butter tray used to hold 1 1/2 sticks. Today it's just 1. It isn't difficult to run out of room temp butter and have to use cold butter out of the fidge and try to use that. Won't spread and if put onto to anything hot, that gets cold. Fast.

Falfurrias is more organic, containing only two ingredients: milk and salt. This product contains natural flavors, though we know that natural flavors can be unpleasant if we describe where they come from.
