not realizing we had to use their wall switch instead of the one already installed and looked the same. We have done several of these and this was our first time to need to swith out for a new wall switch. Otherwise, it was business as usual
My order was received as promised, especially appreciated free shipping. I had my Chamberlain Garage Door Opener installed by professionals; Overhead Door Company of Kansas City (A Division of DH Pace Co., Inc.). I did have one (1) question; were warranty papers to have been in the box with the unit, if so, there were none.
Item arrived on time and as described. Set up was manageable, although took the whole day for me, and it is functioning nicely. Good product, good price!
I would suggest staying away from the app with this. since most apps have subscriptions great. associated with them. (You wouldn't' to pay a fee to get into your own garage.) other than that, unit works great.
received quickly on the scheduled delivery date. Well packet for shipment. All parts were there!! Easy to install with fairly well written directions. Works like a charm.
The door opener was exactly what we needed and easy to install.
I was pleased with the support received by Chamberlain in my installation. I had an old garage door that required extenders for the sensors and Chamberlain worked with me to solve the problem.
I was able to hang this opener for the most part by myself. I consider myself a DIY but this project taxed my skills. Directions were not what I call extremely easy but with trial and error I was able to figure it out. Watching the video on setting limits for the up and down travel were necessary as written directions were somewhat sketchy. Read the book through and save yourself some grief. When completed, it works like a charm.
The instructions could be better. Especially for programming the remote control in my car. For example, at one point they ask me to press a button in the car while simultaneously pressing the learn button on the opener. My arms aren't that long. Also, it would be nice to include the serial number of the unit somewhere in the paperwork, instead of asking for it when the job is already done and the car is in the garage. I had to move the car and get out a ladder to access this number. Totally unnecessary.
Easy to assemble and install. The programming instructions were a bit confusing regarding which light (control lights or bulb light was to flash.
