this works great %26 the quality is superior to others like Zilla etc I will say though that WALMART did not pack this with care. it was literally thrown into the box with all my other products I'd bought such as non-persihable food etc. this lamp DOES NOT come in a box of it's own for whatever reason. it just freefloats in your regulars order box with a little paper.

This is a quality lamp. Very sturdy and safe especially with the 4 heavy bulb protectors the cheaper ones do not have. It has a larger heavy duty cord which is especially nice outside. I just bought it and put inside my well cover yesterday but I feel very safe with this lamp. The clamp is very strong. Please pay about 3 bucks more and be safe with this heat lamp. I used a 250 watt red bulb with it and think my well cover will be plenty warm in 2*, 12 mile per hour north winds with my old and not so tight well cover.

Got this for my chickens and it works great , pair this with some red heat bulbs %26 this can last you for a long time. It has the clamp to hold it in place as well as a handle to where you can add extra security to it when it's placed. I would recommend.

i use it with a grow light and like the amount of light it reflects. my seedlings are flourishing. if you want your seedlings to do well, recommend this reflector won't disappoint

Won't connect to my vehicle and i tried it on other vehicles work on there's but very limited does not do what it states it does Not do happy may have to return waiting for manufacturer reply

It does the job well, stays in place, stays fairly cool even when using a 250 bulb, and some of the manufacturing odors burnt off quickly. I really like that it has a guard. It will dent very easily, however. Finger pressure easy. In a protected spot, this is a non-issue, but was a surprise here.

No on/off switch and the ceramic part is iffy. Should have read the reviews. There is nothing in description about not having an on/off switch and didn't even think it was legal not to have one on such a light these days. Like others have said you can get an inline switch on same type of lamp elsewhere for less.

I ordered this lamp because it was necessary for my chicken coop during this harsh cold weather. I liked that it can handle higher wattage bulbs. What I didn't like was receiving the lampshade damaged. Better care should be exercised in quality inspecting and packaging beforehand.

Short version: This is a great light for a DIY softbox light. Add a decent e26 light with a cri rating of 90 and bleached parchment paper in front and you have a good light for photos or filming. I prefer to use binder clips to attach the parchment paper. Additional notes: The spring clamp is not as versatile as I thought. It will not stay in place when connecting to various poles or other things such as a door, both being under 1 .5". It's very finicky about positioning. Opening the clamp is not always easy. Grip and grip location matters. Of course all of this can be bypassed by hanging it from the hook or even the clamp itself. The socket nut (I don't know the actual term for the piece that keeps the socket connected to the aluminum cone) came very loose. Although doable, it is hard to tighten by hand. It can become loose with unscrewing a bulb so you will have to tighten it again. Not having an on or off switch is annoying. This issue was remedied using a remote controlled outlet. The cone can easily be dented or warped. If you need durability, this might not be the one for you. On the other hand, it's relatively low price could allow you to test it out without wasting a more substantial amount of money or modify it with little concern.

I am very frustrated and unfortunately I am stuck. I ordered a twin pack of 8.5 inch lamps because they were exactly what I needed. I even specifically stated in the substitutions section that I would only accept the 8.5 inch lamp substitute. I was not consulted with a list of substitutions to accept or reject, and instead they substituted the 10 inch lamps which are too big for what we need and had an upcharge. Since this was a delivery we are stuck with them. Be aware that selecting a specific substitute or rejecting substitutions does not mean much with some orders.
