Champion Power Equipment Storm Shield Severe Weather Inverter Generator Cover by GenTent for 2000 to 11,000-Watt Inverters

I bought this storm shield to use on my champion generator. Easy to assemble, we had to assemble ours on the fly in the middle of a power outage with only a head lamp. Works great! Used with the flat champion extension cord this set up has been and will continue to be a life saver! The shield is a great addition.

Running a DJ business where we occasionally encounter situations that need more power than batteries can provide AND there will be inclement weather, the Storm Shield Inverter Cover is a good insurance policy that lets us offer the ability to work in conditions others can't. Initial assembly felt tricky as I put the extender arms together incorrectly multiple times. As far as build quality, disassembling them shows how tough these parts and cover can be. Once assembled, I was very happy with the results. I could have bought an off brand, gray colored cover for less, but I'm a fan of quality products from or licensed by the actual OEM. This fits the requirements. The bright yellow lets anyone know that there is something under here to avoid, and that I also like. While we've been fortunate enough not to need the cover, I'm looking forward to using it the first chance we need it, either for work or personally during hurricane season. Next step, find an appropriate bag or case to store it in.

I was a bit skeptical at 1st, but assembly was simple & it covered my generator. It been only a few days now, no issues in the rain or wind so far.

This is a great product for generators with exhaust mounted lower on the unit. I bought 11000 watt dual fuel inverter/generator model 201417. I started a refund for this shield becasue the generator kept shutting down becasue of CO build up under the shield. I decided to give it one more try and arrange the shield so that it is high enough that it does not cover the exhaust. The shield is higher than what I wanted but it works now. It just doesnt protect the generator from the weather as well. This shield would work perfect on the units that have the exhaust located near the bottom and not at the top. It was a pain to figure out how to put it together but after messing with it for a while I was able to figure it out. I gave 4 stars because I wish there was a better work around for generators with higher placed exhausts.

I have not used the cover yet to keep the generator dry but I installed the brackets so I am ready when the time comes. Overall it is a decently designed cover system but I struggled with the rubber sleeves and clamps that hold the fiberglass rods. The sleeves/clamps fit fairly loosely so they can slide down the generator frame with low-to-moderate force or they may vibrate downward in use (but this has not been tested). I tried to tighten the fit with a piece of inner tube but it didn't really help. I decided to place some hose clamps beneath each sleeve/clamp to keep them at the intended height. A small degree of looseness is desirable because it allows the clamps to be pivoted inward so they are flush with the generator when not needed. The arms and clamps are plastic so I have some concern about their longevity. Finally, I had to make a notch in a heatshield to allow the sleeve/clamp to be positioned at the recommended height but this is not a shortcoming of the cover system.

I ordered this cover about a month ago and finally set it up. It was a little difficult to get through the instructions but once it was set up I'm sure I will find it very easy to set up in the future.

Bought to cover our new Inverter generator which we love so far! Cover seems like it will work but is larger than we thought it would be and took longer to put together. Have yet to go through a big storm with it so we will see how it holds up but definitely covers well.

Champion, make a bigger one for inverter gen 201407. Probably a great shield for the smaller ones. Fitment could be much better. Skirt doesn't cover 3 sides
