Good value for money for coronapocolypse

Brad April 2, 2020

So I just bought this bar for at home workout because all the gyms are closed. 0 reviews or really any details but turned out it is a decent bar and a pretty good value for the money. This is a bushing bar so it spins decently but it is not as smooth as a good bearing bar. The knurling is medium to the low side so seems to have decent grip but wont tear your hands up. The bar is very stiff, almost no flex. Looking other places for reviews it seems to indicate this is 1000lb rated which wouldn't surprise me but I have only gone in the 300s and there is almost no bar flex. It came with what I think is machine oil for the bearings all over it but cleaned up nice with a degreaser. Finish seems decent, probably a thick zinc plate, I wouldn't leave it outside unprotected but in a covered dry area will likely last for a while. For your standard lifts (presses, squats, deads) I would rate this as an above average standard 2" 45lb bar you would find at any commercial gym. If you need a nice bearing bar for olympic lifts this would work in a pinch but you probably have a nicer bar already anyway. This was good value for the money at ~$170 with free shipping.

Great bar!!!!

Arden April 8, 2020

Since we can't go to the gym due to Covid, my husband and I made our dream of having a home gym and reality. I was unsure about the bar because I was worried that it was too good to be true but it came and we are thrilled. Great spin and bar quality. It came in two days, just like promised and it great quality!

Great bar for a home gym! The knurling isn't very rough on this bar but other than that, it works very well!

Great barbell! Holds weight and stays straight!

Jeremiah April 15, 2020

I bought this bar as soon as I heard the gyms on base were starting to shut down. Thankfully, I ordered just before the Corona mass wave on gym equipment. Seeing Rogue bars and the like going for $275+, I was a bit concerned this was going to be a bust. Quite the opposite. The bar broke both sides of the box as the FedEx delivery man brought it to the door, so I knew it at least had weight behind it. Sure enough 44.8 lbs difference before and after holding the bar and stepping on the scale. I have performed both bench press and dead lifts with it, and so far so good. I'm not a gym equipment nut; I just know I like a piece of hardware if it is comfortable to me and performs as it should. This does both in spades. For a home gym, it's a great bar, and I feel very blessed to have gotten a good quality bar for a very decent price. It's not Rogue, Vulcan, or Titan, but for the home it is great and I don't regret it at all!
