very happy with this mast! got it for my dad as he likes to watch local channels. I did not extend it the full length as we dont have the proper mounting to be that high up. regardless the mast feels solid and worked out great. my dad is now happy watching over 20 channels.
Strong push-up mast. It has held up great so far, even during recent heavy winds with gusts up to 45 mph. I have it mounted on top of an antenna rotor with a medium sized very directional antenna, and I remotely rotate the entire mast to aim at different stations in different locations. Stability has been excellent, and the mast hasn't shown any signs of weakness under load or while rotating. Very pleased with the performance so far—this Channel Master mast feels solid and dependable for real-world use.
took my time getting it right to go up,a week later all is good ,channel master ,needs to come up with a better stability between pieces, i installed metal tape to tighten up the connection and added cross screws for twist
Was skeptical, but ordered anyway. Am glad I did, this channel master mast was easy to instal, with no issues. Would recommend if needing an antenna mast. Planning on ordering another one for a second antenna.
This mast was installed with a planned installation. I recommend this item to hams and tv antenna users. As part of the planning you will need TWO people minimum to install.
I really like this telescoping mast unit! Went up very easily and fast. I guided it off with 550 paracord and it has not budged at all. Very well made and designed.
I am 71 years old and managed to attach galvanized pipe to mast ,I buried pipe 2 ft in concrete and one standoff at 7 ft against on old porch. I secured guy lines at 10ft below antenna. I was able to lift and secure 2 ten foot sections by all by myself. with just a little help, I will be from 25ft to 40 ft and I will be done with vhf and uhf, I installed a pulley 7 ft from top to later install HF probably inverted v. I am very pleased with this mast
The base of this antenna is 2 inches so you need something that is going to hold that 2 inch base. Ironically channel master who sells the mask doesn't sell anything that holds the base.
Mast Shipped / received without protection wrapping and had small shipping damage at the lower 2 1/4" pipe, the fabrication quality 3.5 out of 5 stars, but it is an economic version of this type of mast so I guess I can't expect more then paid for, maximum high is about 42 and not 50 feet. Anyways, the mast will work for me as it is set 3 feet into the ground (covering shipping damage)
if you put this pole up push it up fast or the poke Will bend on the point your at. i sprnd a bunch on a antenna setup with rotor and the pole crapped out,not i have to replace the bend pole part with fencing pipe to get the crap up in the air. When the part bent it messed my top antenna part when it fell back down. This is a bunch of crap. I invested in Channel Master pole ,but i was WAYYYY wrong. Luckly the new rotor didnt break as it came back down. I should of used fence piping to make a puchup pole at least the pipes would of been thicker. 😡😡😡😡
