Chantecaille Faux Cils Mascara

I'm really torn about this mascara. On the plus side it's a fantastic mascara: it darkens, lengthens, and thickens lashes in a way that looks extremely natural. This is also one of the few mascaras that never clumps or flakes whatever the weather. But it's expensive and the casing around the lid has split on me both times that I have bought this - not something that should happen when you are paying for a premium product. When they sort out the packaging issue it will be a solid five star+ product but until then it's just a four...

I really love this mascara. It makes my eyelashes look amazing, and I have repurchased it (which is the sure sign that it's good, because I used to go from one mascara to the next). I did take off a star because it smudges on me -- and for the price tag, it ought not to smudge!

I love Chantecaille skin products and have a cult-like devotion to the Essence Vitale and Stress Repair Concentrate. But this mascara is a complete waste of money and basically unusable. I'm wondering if it is actually a defective product. The entire wand comes out coated in thick globs of mascara and it is impossible to apply without messy clumps. Completing one coat is an exercise in frustration. Truly the worst mascara I have ever purchased and a real disappointment. I would give it zero stars if that was an option.

I'm disappointed with this mascara. Based on the reviews and description, I thought I'd love this product. I think the wand can get a bit clumpy with product when applying. By mid-day, it starts to smudge on my face. I have naturally pretty long lashes, but didn't feel like this mascara did anything to help thicken or lengthen them. I feel like I was robbed. Not worth the money.

I always need this product in my makeup bag. It does it all. I tend to use this to layer on top of a more volumizing mascara (Kevyn Aucoin Expert Mascara). This combo is insane!

This mascara is so amazing for day-to-day wear. If you are looking for intense volume, this won't be dramatic enough for you, but every time I wear it on natural makeup days, everyone compliments my lashes! Love love love!

I absolutely adore this mascara for its natural look. It goes well with my bottom or upper lashes. It does elongate my lashes and makes them look much more voluminous. Yet, it dries quickly and I don't get the panda looking eyes during the day.

I have used this since it was introduced and have found none better. My lashes are kept in fantastic condition, they are long, it wears well with no smearing and comes off easily at night. What more do you want?!
