They are really tasty and easy to make . just microwave
You will not be disappointed!!!! I bought the shredded beef and they are wonderful. and easy to microwave for work.. I will be purchasing again. I'll have to try the chicken.
I was craving tamales and bought these. I was very pleased with the basic tamale. It's just the way I like them. Now I need to come up with a sauce/cheese to put over them (the way they serve them at my favorite Mexican restaurant 25 miles away. I highly recommend these.
These are my favorite tamales. They are larger and more flavorful than ones in the bag. I wish you would carry them all the time.
I love homemade tamales and bought these on a whim and was shocked at how good they are! They're better than restaurant tamales and are just as good as homemade.
Moist and flavorful masa and full of meat. Better than restaurants and better than most homemade I've tasted. They don't skimp on the meat. They are individually wrapped and you steam them to heat them. Yummy!! Will purchase again.
I grew up eating tamales that an elderly Mexican couple sold from a bike-cart in a small Louisiana town; these are fairly close. Micro-easy, individually wrapped make prep simple. They are traditionally served after stewing in a light chili sauce, which is why some here have critiqued them as "dry". These are the real deal; you just need to know how to prepare them.
Why am I seeing other people claim there is plenty of meat?? I just got the pork tamales, and although they aren't gross, I've tried 3 now and there was LITERALLY only a couple tiny scraps of meat in each one. I'm not even exaggerating. Also a major lack of any sauce, if any... it basically just seemed like cornmeal in a husk with nothing else in it. Uhg im just really disappointed :(
The beef were better than the chicken but not by much. Whomever is saying that these tamales are wonderful has never had a WONDERFUL TAMALE before. Find yourself a good Mexican restaurant try one of those and then try one of these mass produced one's and you will see what I'm talking about. I will not be purchasing again.
these tamales were dry and hard on one end and they tasted terrible. If the tamales you had before are still there you did a great job of making everything harder to find with your big switcharound of things recently.
