Been using a plastic bag to cover my smoker until it could find a proper cover. Duh, finally went to Char-Broil and found the right cover. I love my smoker and want to protect it from the elements and this cover is PERFECT. Not to mentions sturdy and reasonably priced. Thanks Char-Broil.
Been wanting a smoker and chose this one due to the larger chip box. I like the way you set and forget. The probe is the best way to cook chicken or big pieces of meat. I di prepare baby back ribs by the 3-2-1 method and they were the best I had ever had. Pretty easy clean up and will get a lot of use .
The cover fits my digital electric smoker perfectly and I'm certain it will protect the smoker through the seasonable weather.
I bought this cover specifically for my Digital Electric Smoker. It fits perfectly and is very easy to remove and put back on. A solid purchase!
Liked the cover just wish it had Velcro straps on the bottom like the grill covers do. Fits over our smoker but wish it had a tighter seal at the bottom
Material not as heavyweight as expected. Appears well constructed. Snug fit. No grommet holes on base to secure it, so will probably use a bungee cord. With smoker on stand, the cover won't protect the stand's legs, lower stand shelf or items left on that shelf. (I would suggest grabbing a bottle of touch-up paint for the stand... but that's another review)
This cover I just bought was the second for my 5 yr old smoker, the other weathered out. Better than wearing the box out. Better than having to bring the whole thing into the garage off season too. A kitchen garbage bag fits too, but jeeze that's ugly.
Love the concept, design and effectiveness, but have experienced a couple of issues. First the good: Maintains temperature well, good even smoke production (nice that you don't have to pre-soak the chips), easy to clean. Now the not-so good: If your wi-fi connection gets broken, the cycle is interrupted and you have to start over again with the pre-heat cycle for chip burning. Tons of requests in the blogs for over a year for a firmware/software update to allow skipping this (so you don't end up with another hour+ of high heat cooking your meat), but no sign of a solution from Char-Broil. I also used the pre-set (if no wi-fi) for fish (number 3) to avoid this issue. It's supposed to cook at 225 degrees until the probe temp reaches 150. It seemed like a long time so I checked the fish temp with a manual thermometer and it was 190. Dried it out so it was inedible (2.5 pounds of wild salmon). So as much as I want to love this, I wish I didn't have the digital version because quite honestly, it's not ready for digital prime-time.
I bought this smoker begining of October 2016. First time I used it it worked great!! Second time, not so much. It wouldn't recognize the temp probe. I figured the probe was bad. Ordered a new probe. Went to use it today, same problem. Must be the circuit board.
Our son & family bought this for us & we were so thrilled about it. But, after using it 4 times we returned it because it didn't smoke since the vents were open instead of being adjustable for how much smoke you wanted to taste in your meat. The food always tasted like it had just been cooked in our oven but we wanted a smoker because we have an oven.
