We bought this grill at the store, and then about 2 hours had it assembled. I will say that it probably would have went faster if I wasn't trying to tighten down the screws good and didn't miss some screws on previous steps. All I have to say that it looks similar to our old 2 burner grill other than more burners and a little bit better grill grates. When I bought it I was looking for a grill that would be able to keep a low temp and have flare ups when cooking burgers, that way I can get my smoke boxes to creating smoke for everything.
Once together I really enjoyed cooking on it the instructions however was something to deal with it show pics n the pic parts were numbered but the parts themselves were not so what I thought would take me no time to do took me hours. But end result I highly recommend buying this grill
A lot of parts to put together. I am fairly mechanical and it took me a hour or so. The quality of the grill is exceptional for being on the cheaper end. The heat is definitely higher toward the front of the grill because of the location of burner connections. I am very please with this grill, so much so that I bought another for a family member also in need of a grill.
I'm so glad I didn't listen to the negative comments on this. It's a great grill for the money. Took my boyfriend and I about 2 hours to put together. It's true the instructions are needing some written details and the hardware is labeled but the parts aren't however they are very easy to figure out by the diagrams what is what and we also found a YouTube video that runs you through assembly nicely. As far as performance we fired it up and it heated up real hot no problem. I don't know why some people are having trouble. We grilled out some great really tasty steaks on the first use in no time flat. It's also a breeze to clean up with the pull out drawer and grease trap which was my main selling point. The cleaner you can keep a grill the longer it will last. Here's to hoping for many years of use. But really an appealing and awesome grill for the money.
The set up for this was very simple. It was easily directed. It's a sturdy grill that is very appealing and simple to use. I do wish the parts were labeled.
This grill had everything I was looking for, cast iron grids, side burner and a shelf to put the tank on versus it sitting on the side. It does seem to take some time to heat up that is why I give it a 4 star and not 5.
This grill is a good deal for the price. Its a basic 4 burner grill with side burner. Every thing shipped very well in packaging and assembled perfectly. The front doors snap closed which is great to keep them from swinging open when you don't want them to but it takes a good bump to click it closed. I made steaks, hamburgers, ribs, grilled veggies and everything was great. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a good grill without all the fancy expensive extras. This item was sent as a free sample in exchange for my review.
The grill works and looks great but it was a serious pain to put together. Granted I'm terrible at assembling things, but the screws were very difficult to get in due to tight spaces, the parts themselves aren't numbered so the numbers in the instruction manual were kind of useless. But once I got it together and put bandaids on my fingers and apologized to my cats for my language, all burners fired up the first time and the grill heated all the way to 575 degrees.
I bought this item just last week. It took me about 2 hours to put it together. It is very hard to tighten the screws with less work space. Also I could not Fix the Top piece for the door support because the holes do not match. It looks like the it was made for another size grill. Hence I do not have the doors in place.
So sorry I didn't give more attention to the several reviews citing poor heating. Sadly they were true - this grill just doesn't get hot enough to quickly cook hamburgers or steaks. I've had this grill for 6 weeks now and used it 10 times or so to cook burgers, hot dogs, steaks, and London broil. In just about every case food took too long to cook even with the lid closed. Yes, even hot dogs wouldn't sear! The grill acts more like an oven. I cheaped out on this purchase since most grills only last 3 or 4 years and are throw aways; this one will be thrown away as soon as I find a better one on clearance. In the meantime I'm back to charcoal in my Weber. On the plus side, it was "cheap", easy to assemble, and seems well constructed. Too bad it is such a poor performer.
