Char-Griller® Flat Iron® 17-inch Portable Gas Griddle

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ordered this when CharGriller had a sale. Was a little concerned because the price for the package; Griddle, Stand, and cover was so low! When it arrived I put it together and used it a few days later at a get together at my house. Grilled burgers and onions/peppers, hot dogs, etc. Works great!

To start this griddle is very well made and was very easy to assemble, once seasoned we put it right to use with some smash burgers! Very impressed and cannot wait for many more cooks and taking this griddle to the river this summer! Very much recommend this griddle!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was looking for a small griddle for traveling with in our travel trailer. This single burner griddle worked perfect for storing and easy setup on a picnic table. I couldn't be happier! Heats up quick and Cleaned up easily after seasoning. I would have liked levelers on the feet but for the price the quality is outstanding.

Portable griddle perfect for tailgates, camping or for folks with small outdoor space. Griddle cooking area is quite large for a portable griddle. Side handles for easier transport would be beneficial but not required. This griddle is built solid and provides ample cooking space. Easy to clean and operate. Perfect size for someone new to griddle cooking.

When I received this griddle for Christmas I was excited to get it together & fired up. I was extremely pleased to find that there was very minimal parts and actual construction to get it up and running. Portability seems to be the greatest aspect of this griddle. At only 35lbs it has 264 square inches of cooking space, making it perfect for camping, tailgating, boating or any instance where you would be in need of a compact griddle. The grease tray and steel top make cleanup a breeze & easy to maintain.

As an avid camper who loves cooking and grilling, this portable Flat Iron has been an amazing addition to my travel grill collection! I've made pizzas, cheesesteaks, smash burgers, potatoes and breakfasts. You can't beat making bacon and hash browns on the griddle! The griddle is easy to clean and I love that it has a grease catcher. Instead of using little propane canisters it's simple to use an adapter and hose for a larger propane tank. The size of the griddle is really perfect. Even if I'm not traveling I set up it up at home for use.

This portable griddle is super easy to use and can cook a wide variety of food. I cooked smash burgers for my first cook and did everything from the buns, grilled onions, meat, etc. Cleanup was simple as well. The only thing I would improve is that the grease trap doesn't catch everything and it gets onto the face of the unit as well as the floor, but it's not terrible. Looking forward to cooking even more things on it.

This little griddle is a powerhouse. It heats up almost instantly and retains heat very well. I did breakfast on Christmas morning for the family and they loved it. It took me no time to have it ready! And the best part, maybe, is that cleaning up after was super easy and fast. I will recommend this to anyone!

So bought to take camping figured it would be easier, that was a lie. Put it all together and found out the nob did not turn to ignite the griddle, so we had to take the nob off and then use a small tool to turn to ignite, then take the flat top off and ignite with a torch, and quickly put back on before you got burnt. One it was on we would hear a whooshing noise as if there was air in the pipe. The top did not heat evenly so the middle would get done real quick while the outside stuff was raw. Grease trap didn't line up the greatest but that's an easy fix. We made a lid for it, which was fine. But next time I'll just take my charcoal grill.

Upon opening found huge plastic decal across cooking surface, tried to remove and decal delaminated and left tons of glue on Cook top. Now have a lot of work to do to remove this mess and will have to use chemicals to get glue off! Not a fan. So if you are looking for a project its perfect but if you want to be able to readily use your brand new grille...not happening.
